Yep... it just goes to show the ludicracy/lunacy of so many misguided people in today's society.

Millions of dollars lost in Atlanta that will affect thousands or more people. Some businesses will have to close up shop too because of the stupid move.

And why? Well, what ever reason anybody gives will not replace those lost jobs or the monetary loss to Atlanta!

And... it further erodes another American past time... as if kneeling wasn't enough!

Businesses buy into the premise that it’s their obligation to fix the culture, assuming it needs fixing. Actually, their job is to produce a product or service and to employ people. Rather than going political, they should focus on their hiring and promotion practices.   Otherwise, they end up alienating a lot of potential customers.  It’s not that people don’t care about race, but we want all people to be treated for their potentials and abilities, not for things they can’t change, like race or ethnicity.  The ironic thing about pro sports is that in contact sports like football or basketball, the stars are disproportionately Black, presumably due to exceptional ability in sports.  Yet no one calls that racist. The very athletes who succeed to most usually always turn their backs on the communities they were raised in if they were poor.

Again, the purpose is lost in the messaging.  The only unfair voter laws are those that don’t allow people to vote who are eligible but also those that allow those ineligible to vote, essentially discounting the votes of those who should be voting.  Voting is supposed to be the will of the people on one preselected day in time.  Anything else disenfranchises those who either make the effort to show up at the polls or who plan in advance to request a ballot.  Many people in my state actually received 2-3 ballots by mail that they had not asked for! Some admitted turning them in because they thought they were supposed to.  When they checked online, each ballot had been counted.  That is not only unethical, it is illegal, but when it was brought up, suddenly they weren’t allowed to talk about it.

Absolutely.

Both Democrats and Republicans used to enjoy just about all sports. And then when the kneeling started, many were turned off. They should have warned the kneelers not to do it or they would be suspended. But they bent to the politicization and ruined the sports arena.

Same with businesses, they should manufacturer and sell products for everyone... Democrats and Republicans. And they should not get into politicization of their company brand as well.

Too many things have already been politicized today and I'm sure others will follow in the same foolish footsteps.

If I owned or ran a big company with a product that can be used by anyone in the population, would I intentionally drive away 50% or more of my customer base? No. No one who wants the company to thrive would do that.  So they are either arrogant enough to think they are above that and will not be affected or they don’t care.

It's stupid... but we have more stupid CEO's today than ever. But the interesting thing is that over 95% of them are Democrats. Perhaps it's the stakeholders pressing them to take a stand?

So a Levi Jeans CEO feels he needs to stand up and make a pro Democrat statement about gun control?

Most hunters I know (myself included) wear jeans when we go hunting. I'm sure this CEO realizes that he needs to have all hunters change their brand of jeans from Levi to Wrangler or other jeans manufacturer!!! </sarcasm off>

It's stupid!

Had he kept his political Democrat mouth shut about gun control and just continued selling jeans, hunters who previously purchased Levi's would probably continue to do so. But because he opened his stupid mouth, now hunters who own Levi's jeans will stop purchasing them due to their gun control stance.

It's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool rather than to open your mouth and reveal all doubts... comes to mind.

And that's Levi's CEO's need!!! (* ROFLMAO *)

Why cannot he just stay politically neutral and keep selling jeans? Unless of course, the Democrats are giving him some kind of nice kickback if he stands up and says something like that? It's the only thing that makes sense to me!

I don’t know anything about that story.  Are Levis still that popular?  I don’t even remember the last time I saw them sold anywhere.  I’ve seen Lee jeans, and of course Wrangler are still very popular.
