I think your reasoning is valid and agree completely.

Im feeling totally antisocial right now, so agree with the title of this thread.  Vaccinated should be quarantined.  I volunteer to be the first if I can get my own en suite room.

You will be prepared for another storm of the century and have a mild winter.

Better to be prepared and not need it than to be caught for days with deep sub-freezing weather.

Was bad last year. Or was that two winters ago?

It's still this year. The Snowmageddon happened Feb 15-19 2021. Barely 9 months ago.

And so Texas was in a deep freeze on Ash Wednesday - the same day Rush Limbaugh died.

I know well because the outage and no solar power killed both of my radio capture systems at the same time, so it was not captured. But fortunately I got a couple of other people recruited to capture a bunch of radio programming off the air, and I managed to finally get a good copy (as an .ogg file) of that radio broadcast announcing his death.

How did I forget that?  It’s been a long year.

I was going to change out a couple more panels in the pump house but the wind got up. Going to see if I can talk someone into coming out to help on Black Friday, as opposed to just watching streaming video of people trampling and pepper spraying one another for entertainment.

So I'm getting all the prep work done to do awning panel additions, clearing obstacles to get to the east side of the pump house carrying 90 pound sheets of HardiBoard, and decluttering in general around the area.

I figure it will require all 4 days of holiday to get this stuff done. And I luxuriously slept until nearly 11 AM today before getting started so I'm running way behind.

You had a productive weekend.

Well I didn't get anything done with the pump house this weekend but I did get 2 more R-panels on the carport / awning, adding another 6 feet of vehicle shelter space. It involved several complex notches to fit it over support pipes.

There's a bunch more stuff that can be done on weeknights.

It took a lot of prep work to set everything up, but it sure is nice now - It's cooler in the day and warmer at night because it blocks the convection currents and radiative cooling as well as the hot sun when summer arrives.
