My first thought was, the set gun wrangler isn't going to be working again.

Maybe should be persecuted.  What could have gone wrong?

The news here just said that real guns are used on tv shows!  I would think that was a definite no.

I don't know much about firearms or blank rounds but I do know that gun wranglers have to be meticulous with fake weapons on set, it's a big responsibility.

Real guns filled with blanks should not be a problem.

The problem is who swapped the blanks for real ones?

They use real guns packed with cold rounds. This can still be very dangerous if they aren’t cleared properly after each use.  I didn’t realize until reading about this accident that each time a blank is fired, it leaves residue in the barrel that can harm someone.  It is possible the gun had blanks but if Baldwin fired multiple times, he may actually have been the cause of the tragedy.

I’ve been reading about it since yesterday.  It’s not just what is in the gun but the way it’s handled.  Baldwin could be in some trouble as he is a coproducer and the producers are ultimately responsible for the people they hire.  The armorer, who is the gun handler prepared the gun but the AD said the gun was ready.  There is a lot of potential blame that could be placed on more than one person.

This may be difficult to read because of the font colors but it give more new information.

This should have warned them to be very careful in advance of the shooting.

Witnesses report that Baldwin’s stunt double had accidentally fired two rounds prior to the fatal event, after being told by the director that the weapon did not contain any ammunition.
