Im not sure that it is true that once separated they can't be rejoined.   Both the envelope and the voter ballot are coded identically with that computer link thing (complete senior moment).  At least in Arizona.  I can't find out what happens to the envelopes after an election has been certified-  are they kept or destroyed.  I believe they are kept from the idiot recount information that came out.  But I think the envelopes are eventually destroyed, while the actual ballots are kept for a set period of time.

They said that in AZ the ballots and the identifying information had been separated and could not be analyzed.  I have no idea why.

Who is "they"?   The audit was a fallacy start to finish.  Even the Republicans who pushed for the "audit" walked away once it was disclosed the ballots and the machines had been illegally removed from state control and left completely unguarded at the coliseum. Two TV reporters, different stations, with accompanying camera and sound crews, got unfettered access to the ballots with no security in sight.  The supposed ballot recounters who had physical access to the ballots were untrained volunteers with no background or security checks at all.  From what we're reading, their citizenship wasn't even checked.  The Senate president who authorized the audit and handed over the machines and ballots to the "auditors" is facing a criminal investigation into her violation of Az Senate rules, Az state law and possible federal charges.
I really do wish people would recognize that local Maricopa county residents had far more information available to us than those in other states.  Even our local country western station (Republican owned with conservative format) was broadcasting hourly updates. I also wish people would recognize that I have no reason to obscure or diminish the importance of what happened here.

A data analyst who specializes in election verification.  I did not catch his name.

Frankly, as chaotic and illegal as that audit was, I would hope he wasn't here.  The company had NEVER conducted a federal election audit.  That should raise all kinds of red flags as to appropriateness of the choice, the person who released the machines and voter records had no legal authority to release them, 2nd red flag.  Removal of the votes from AZ state control, which is illegal on both state and federal levels, third red flag.  Removal of the voting machines, fourth red flag.  Inexperience of counters, fifth, no background checks, sixth red flag.  And so it goes.

No he’s an expert. Not sure what his actual job is.  Again, the audit was never going to yield anything because they could not get the data in the form they would need.

You’re not understanding me.  They may be required to keep envelopes but once they are separated from ballots there is no way to put them back together for analysis.

The envelopes are physical evidence. Some states/counties require mail in ballots to have the envelope signed while others don't. For those that do require a signature on the envelope, even if separated, you can match the signature.

But on another note... they destroyed the 30,000 envelopes but had a recorded 100,000 ballots as being sent in when in fact only 30,000 were sent in and the other 70,000 were just printed and added to the ballot stack without being sent in. So where are the other 70,000 envelopes? If they had kept the envelopes, you would either see 100,000 envelopes or you would only see the 30,000 that were actually sent in.

They destroyed evidence which is fraudulent... regardless of whether you can or cannot match them up. That's the point I was talking about. They destroyed evidence!

Showtalk said...

Was the loss intentional or is Dominion flawed?

Both.

Showtalk said...

Why are they still using those systems when they know there were serious problems?

Because they needed those flaws to tilt the count in their direction.

Showtalk said...

Beyond any fraud, some of the machines didn’t work at all. Some switched votes from R to D and could not be switched back, while the voters were in the booths.

And some wouldn't allow the user to choose a republican candidate either. They could choose a democrat, but not a republican. And there's video evidence of that too.

Showtalk said...

That is all documented but somehow they couldn’t fix it during the election.

They could have, but then the results would not turn out in their favor and thus they didn't fix the problems.

And strangely... actually not really so strange... a good majority of these problems occurred in largely republican districts. That is NOT a coincidence! It's intentional.

At the time of the recount, the proper information was not available to them.

They have a year to get it right.
