If it’s exactly as the article says it doesn’t make sense. Anyone teaching a subject must be proficient in it or they can’t teach it.

This covers teachers who are out of their areas of expertise up to Grade 6. It doesn’t mean they will be hired to teach math, but apparently they could be. They should not be though. This document at least makes some sense out of it.

Well, give them another 30 years and jobs that pay a living wage will all be outsourced to places like India and China because the next generation of kids will be unemployable, having not been taught math and science.
All sorts of ripple effects will happen when the education system is monkeyed with, and rising generational poverty and lower standards of living are the bitter legacy of such shenanigans.

Well, there were several words in that article which caught my eye... diversity/diverse, equity and racialized teachers...
And so I looked up what racialized teachers were and discovered that they're just racist teachers to usher in CRT...
Read the entire 235 page thesis from 2013 here... Hopson_Robin_L_201311_PhD_thesis.pdf (utoronto.ca)
One quip in particular from page 10 helps describe it...
>>>Racialization is understood as being the act of assigning specific meanings to groups on the basis of people’s physical differences even though “race” has been proved to be “a purely imaginary social fabrication” (Ng, 2003, p.210). Referring to these individuals as “racialized” persons aims to underscore the act of how we choose to see, perceive, and conceptualize race in one another and throughout our society. It is the process of objectifying individuals based on characteristics of race (Chan, 2007).<<<
Bottom line: It's dumbing down teachers which will eventually lead to dumbed down students! The exact opposite of what they're attempting to claim their goal to achieve is!!!

And that indicates that American economic prosperity is in its twilight, soon to become a footnote in history as the schools continue to churn out unemployable young adults.

Dumbing down has been going on a long time. I remember when they lowered the standards for the SAT to the point it’s now meaningless.

and dumbing down is why we see so many young adults struggling to survive in the lowest paid service industries - waiters, cooks, cashiers, and others who get the brunt of inconvenienced Karens.
And Covid really hit those industries hard. Sadly we won't have enough technically qualified people to keep a high tech world of the future actually functional, so the door is open for our future Chinese overlords to show up and throw people a few small scraps that fall from the masters' table and exploit that lack of education.
Also dumbing down makes an entire population far more susceptible to anti-science conspiracy theories and pseudoscience and other nonsense that will quickly rush in to fill that vacuum

That's Trump's fault... (* ROFLMAO *)
But sadly, it's our liberal socialistic education system that is destroying our kids futures... and they've been slowly and gradually doing it for at least the past 35 ~ 40 or more years.
