But hopefully, with the takeback of the House in Jan 2023, some progress in the right direction might start to happen.

So far though, it looks like a total Charlie Foxtrot going on in the House.

Not only are they teaching CRT they are deciding admissions based on social factors and abilities rather than grades in math and science. What kind of doctors will they turn out in the future?

Any education driven by social and ideological criteria rather than whether they have the skills to do whatever task they are being trained for, essentially ends up worthless. This is already been going on for at least 35 years or so.

So the universities have been churning out kids woefully unprepared for the real world. We old farts have to stay in the workforce well past our traditional sell-by date with a pooper scooper, following them around and then being overworked and underpaid cleaning up their messes.

This is just one example of waste of resources I have seen throughout the workforce in recent years.

However, I have also seen a silver lining - if you stand back and let them fail, spectacularly, even though it might be very expensive and the cleanup is very involved, they often figure out just how much they don't know, and finally start to actually listen and learn how to do things that are contrary to what those in the ivory towers had indoctrinated them into.

Then there's the whole student loan thing. A rising tsunami of young people are figuring out that the millstone of student loans only sets them a decade or more behind in their ability to make a living. Universities are suddenly worried, as many would be students are discovering they are just selling a bill of goods.

As for doctors? Most of the doctors around here were educated overseas, on stuff like how the body works, how it is built, how it reacts to assorted diseases and substances, and how to treat injuries and diseases.

Of course the whole education cluttered with ideological stuff just raises the costs of everything all around. And eventually it drives all sorts of migratory behavior as people seek to avoid onerous and stifling constraints.

LOL... Well, without a Speaker of the House, nothing else can officially start, so hopefully, now that the circus finally seems to have ended, things should start to fall into place. The next few weeks will tell.

That laptop isn't going to go away. It's just that it takes longer to take down those who think they are above the law.

The thing is, when the schools and such encourage gender dysphoria claims like it's some kind of a fad or fashion statement, the worse of a road that tiny number who actually have that have being taken seriously.

Sort of like when false accusations are made of harassment, domestic violence, etc. become a commonly weaponized thing, the more harm is done to the legitimate cases as public backlash grows.

The same thing would happen if all of a sudden, claiming to have DID (Dissociative Identify Disorder, popularized by the story of Sybil, formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder), and suddenly 10% of the population were getting that kind of diagnosis, it greatly dilutes resources and treatment for the genuine cases.

It's like the fable of the boy who hollered "WOLF!" when there was no wolf. And when there finally was really a wolf, no one believed him and the wolf ate their livestock.

Yep, now that we have a new Congress, hopefully, they will finally start investigating the thing last Congress should have looked at!

Now that you mention it... YES... it delegitimizes the help those truly in need require causing more devastation in the path! The exact opposite of what should be!

But wait... where have I heard that before? Let me count the ways!!!!

Children should take responsibility for their actions and the consequences or they never learn. Same thing with debt.

The invisible hand of unintended consequences.

Many of them are by design, insulated from that kind of responsibility. Then when they turn 18, the bubble wrap is removed, and society somehow believes they magically transition on that birthday to be able to now function without those "training wheels". And then the adults who gave participation trophies and such and made generations of kids afraid of their own shadow, are surprised when they have a whole decade or more delay before they can hit any of the traditional milestones of adulthood.
