Joe Manchin Indicates Possibly Leaving Democrat Party Before 2024

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) sparked speculation that he may leave the Democrat party ahead of 2024, amid his latest comments about having a close relationship with “No Labels.”
The Democrat senator touted his relationship with No Labels, the political group that has been trying to allow all 50 states to vote on a third-party candidate in the presidential elections, and the possibility of a nationwide run.
“I’ve been part of No Labels since December of 2010. It’s the only game in town that wants to bring people together and get Democrats and Republicans working together,” Manchin told the Hill.
Asked if he could run nationwide on the No Labels ticket, Manchin claimed, “People are starving, starving to work together.” He added that voters are sick of “this constant, daily routine of everyone’s against everybody and everybody’s fighting and arguing…Let’s be for the country and get something done.”
Manchin, a moderate senator up for reelection in a deep red state, has been keeping his plans for the 2024 election close to the belt for some time. Ultimately this has led to speculation about if he will run for reelection in the U.S. Senate, make a presidential bid, or if he will run as a Democrat at all.
Despite leaving people guessing, the West Virginia Senate race is already heating up with Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV) joining the race last week and Rep. Alex Mooney (R-WV), on the Republican side, in the battle to unseat Manchin.
Manchin released a statement shortly after Justice’s announcement claiming he is “laser-focused on doing the job West Virginians elected me to do” and “will win any race” he enters.
Last month, Manchin told NBC’s Meet the Press that he would not make his decisions “until the end of the year” since his filing deadline is not until the middle of January next year. However, the last time he ran for reelection, he did not announce his decision to run again until January 23, 2018 — four weeks into the election year.

Chicago residents just got a win against tyranny.
Administrative Law Judge Anna Hamburg-Gal ruled that the City of Chicago violated the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act after imposing the vaccine mandate without negotiating with unions representing the workers.
The Judge said that the city did not bargain in good faith.
The fired workers must now be reinstated and repaid any lost pay and benefits, plus 7% annual interest.

Unionized city of Chicago employees fired or disciplined for violating COVID-19 vaccination requirements must be reinstated and repaid for any loss of wages or benefits, a state hearing officer has ruled.
The decision in a case before the Illinois Labor Relations Board applies to city workers represented by trade unions or by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. The unions banded together to challenge regulations Mayor Lori Lightfoot imposed starting in 2021.
Administrative Law Judge Anna Hamburg-Gal said the city violated the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act by not bargaining in good faith over vaccine requirements and changes in sick leave policies. Her ruling, issued Wednesday, requires the city to “make whole” workers who lost pay and benefits, plus 7% annual interest.
The ruling is a broad rebuke of Lightfoot’s get-tough policies on city workers who resisted vaccination mandates, but it’s not known how many employees were penalized. One source said a few dozen employees may be directly affected by the decision.
The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees celebrated the ruling saying, “We think it’s a strong decision and favorable for worker rights generally.”

A spokesperson for AFSCME told news outlets: “We think it’s a strong decision and favorable for worker rights generally.”
A spokesperson for the mayor’s office said the ruling “was an erroneous decision that does not follow the law, facts nor importantly the science” and that the city was considering its next steps.
Hopefully, more vaccine mandates are stopped in court!

And hopefully, this will start similar other suits as well.
It was only the Democrat run cities and states that clamped down using draconian and tyrannical rules.
Most of the red states weathered it fairly well... my state of Florida just to name one.

Yes, if they get back pay with interest in a lump sum, they come out ahead, as long as they can prorate the taxes by year and not have to pay a higher amount because the money all came in at one time.

Homeless Encampment in Marin County, California Grows to TWO MILES Long (VIDEO)

A homeless encampment of decaying campers and RVs in Marin County, California has grown to a stunning two miles long.
This is a good reminder that some problems which start out small will grow if they are not dealt with immediately.
You have to wonder why the people of this community have allowed this situation to get so out of hand.

In April, I wrote about the many dilapidated RVs with homeless people living inside them that plague neighborhoods in Los Angeles and bring crime and filth to the surrounding streets. I told the story of how one RV exploded in a fiery ball (powered by propane tanks that were presumably used to make meth) barely two blocks from my residence.
As bad as that situation is, it’s nothing compared to what residents in Marin County, California wake up to each morning—both the NY Post and the Daily Mail reported Friday on the massive, two-mile-long homeless camp with dozens of RVs parked alongside Binford Road in the pricey neighborhood of Novato:
A two-mile strip of road in posh Marin County, California – which George Lucas, Tony Bennett and Robin Williams have all called home – has been overrun by a vagrant camp that has brought drugs and devastation to the area.
Binford Road in the city of Novato has devolved into a makeshift neighborhood of “tweakers” with hordes of people living apparently rent-free in a shabby collection of broken-down RVs and trailers parked at the side of the street.
The Post counted 71 vehicles in the area at the time, but local officials put the number at 135 in the neighborhood where the average home price is over $1,000,000.

The Great Divorce? 2.6 Million Fled Counties That Voted For Biden

Is the country separating itself into two distinct camps? One increasingly leftist and the other trying desperately to cling to traditional American values? Census data seem to show that it very well could be underway.
Last week, we commented on recent population data showing that people have been fleeing urban areas, noting that these are mostly Democratically controlled, and we pointed out that people have also been moving from blue states to red.
But we wanted to go deeper and get more precise numbers. So, we matched Census net migration data from mid-2020 through mid-2022 for all the nation’s 3,000-plus counties (or their equivalents) and compared that with how these counties voted in 2020. Our working assumption is that the results of the incredibly divisive 2020 election would be a good barometer of the devoutly held political views in those counties.
What we found was striking: There has been a vast migration out of counties that voted for Joe Biden into those counties that voted to reelect Donald Trump.
Census data show a net internal migration of almost 2.6 million (2,562,937 to be exact) from blue counties to red since Biden was elected. (These figures don’t count immigrants or births or deaths, just those Americans moving from one location to another.)
More than 61% of the counties that voted for Biden in 2020 lost population, while 65% of Trump-supporting counties gained population.
Some highlights:
Of the 555 counties Biden won, 335 (or 61%) lost population due to internal migration, our analysis found. Of the 2,589 counties that Trump won, 1,675 (or 65%) gained population.
Two Biden-voting counties that lost the most from net migration were Los Angeles County, which was down 363,760, and Cook County, Illinois, down 200,718. While many of the blue counties that lost population were urbanized, the exodus was widespread and nationwide, including many far more sparsely populated liberal areas.
In contrast, the biggest loss in any red county was Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, down just 18,470.
In 13 states that had a net loss of population, red counties nevertheless showed gains. In California, which saw a massive net outflow of 871,127 people in just the past two years, counties that backed Trump had a net gain of 8,412. New Jersey suffered a loss of 107,749 over the past two years, but counties in the Garden State that voted for Trump gained 22,507. Michigan lost 43,188 overall, but its red counties had a net gain of 28,091.
On the other hand, blue counties lost population in states that saw overall gains. For example, Florida had a net gain of 622,476 over the past two years. But counties that backed Biden nevertheless lost 3,374. Georgia had a large gain of 128,089, but blue counties still had a net loss of 28,178. Tennessee saw an increase of 146,403 people, but counties that voted for Biden saw a decline of 37,306.

In other states, people escaping blue counties accounted for almost all their population losses. In Illinois, for example, 91% of the state’s 282,048 net population loss came from counties that voted for Biden. Ditto in New York, where blue counties accounted for 96% of the state’s 664,921 outflow.
In growth states, most of those moving in settled in red counties. In Texas, for example, the state’s more conservative counties accounted for 91% of its net population influx.
The biggest red-county population winners were Collin County, Texas, north of Dallas, up 69,301, and Lee County, Florida, which is on the Gulf side of the state and includes Fort Myers, up 62,246.
The biggest gainers for Biden-supporting counties were Maricopa County, Arizona, home to Phoenix (up 94,684), and Williamson County, Texas, north of Austin (up 52,970).
A Warning, And An Opportunity
The gains in Maricopa and Williamson counties are two exceptions that prove the rule – and provide a warning.
