But they didn’t go to the Capitol. That is why they are pushing the idea it’s an insurrection, because they did not do exactly what Trump supporters did.

??????

There was no insurrection. Even the FBI admitted it.

So why are they pushing it to be an insurrection when it wasn't an insurrection?

Either it was an insurrection or it wasn't. The FBI themselves said it was not an insurrection.

So what is all this about some kind of fake insurrection other than in the eyes of the Democrats.

'I am sure no one would recognize me': Trump mocks idea he's a 'flight risk'

'Would I be able to take my very 'understated' airplane with the gold TRUMP affixed for all to see?'

Former President Donald Trump mocked Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis over a $200,000 bond requirement from his indictment over efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.

“The failed District Attorney of Fulton County (Atlanta), Fani Willis, insisted on a $200,000 Bond from me,” Trump posted on Truth Social Monday. “I assume, therefore, that she thought I was a ‘flight’ risk – I’d fly far away, maybe to Russia, Russia, Russia, share a gold domed suite with Vladimir, never to be seen or heard from again. Would I be able to take my very ‘understated’ airplane with the gold TRUMP affixed for all to see. Probably not, I’d be much better off flying commercial – I’m sure nobody would recognize me!”

A grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia handed down indictments Aug. 14, charging Trump and other associates over Trump’s efforts to contest the 2020 election results in that state. Willis, who launched a probe into Trump’s efforts to contest the 2020 election results in that state in 2021, announced in April that the probe could lead to the indictment of Trump.

Special counsel Jack Smith secured a four-count indictment of Trump relating to his efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election. Smith also secured a 37-count indictment against Trump in June based on an investigation into allegation surrounding classified documents, while Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg secured a grand jury indictment against Trump in March in a case centered around a $130,000 payout to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

Legal experts noted that much of the conduct Smith claimed was criminal in the indictment pertaining to the election contest appeared to be protected by the First Amendment. Harvard University law professor Alan Dershowitz said that the federal indictment not only attacked the First Amendment, but also Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to counsel.

Jack Smith Ends DC Grand Jury Investigating Trump’s Classified Docs Case After Judge Cannon Rebukes Him for Operating ‘Out-of-District’ Secret Grand Jury

By Cristina Laila
Aug. 23, 2023 8:30 am

Special Counsel Jack Smith in a court filing on Tuesday revealed the DC grand jury hearing evidence in Trump’s classified documents case has ended.

Jack Smith used a DC grand jury – and a radical Marxist Obama-appointed DC judge (Beryl Howell) in the classified docs case before quietly roving down to Florida to file the charges.

Judge Beryl Howell ruled against Trump at every turn!

In fact, Judge Howell previously ordered Trump’s lawyer Evan Corcoran to testify before a grand jury in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago.

Judge Howell flipped Trump’s own lawyer Eric Corcoran into a witness when she obliterated Trump’s attorney client privilege in a ruling.

Earlier this month Judge Aileen Cannon blasted Jack Smith for operating a secret, out-of-district grand jury.

Cannon rebuked Jack Smith in a blistering order reviewed by The Gateway Pundit .

Recall, at the last minute, Jack Smith empaneled a grand jury in Miami to indict Trump in Florida.

Jack Smith had been using a grand jury in DC to investigate Trump’s classified documents case.

Out of nowhere, a Florida grand jury popped up and indicted Trump.

Jack Smith indicted Trump on 37 federal counts in Miami in June.

Trump was charged with 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information and 6 other process crimes stemming from his conversations with his lawyer.

Walt Nauta, a Mar-a-Lago aide, was indicted along with President Trump as a co-conspirator.

Last month Jack Smith hit Trump with 3 additional charges in the investigation into classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago.

The superseding indictment, filed in the Southern District of Florida, claims Trump was part of a scheme to delete security footage from Mar-a-Lago.

Judge Cannon demanded Jack Smith explain “the legal propriety of using an out-of-district grand jury proceeding to continue to investigate” Trump and his associates.

It is against the DOJ rules for prosecutors to present a case outside of the district where the crimes took place.

“Among other topics as raised in the Motion, the response shall address the legal propriety of using an out-of-district grand jury proceeding to continue to investigate and/or to seek post-indictment hearings matters pertinent to the instant indicted matter in this district,” Judge Cannon wrote referring to the DC grand jury.

Less than two weeks later Jack Smith ended his DC grand jury in the classified documents case.

Judge Cannon has repeatedly put Jack Smith in check.

Judge Aileen Cannon

In June Judge Cannon denied Jack Smith’s motion to keep a list of 84 potential witnesses under seal in the classified documents case.

The judge said Jack Smith failed to explain why it was necessary to keep the names of the witnesses a secret.

Jack Smith was also trying to block Trump and his alleged co-conspirator, Walt Nauta, from communicating with the 84 witnesses.

Last month Judge Cannon smacked down Special Counsel Jack Smith and denied his request to speed up the sharing of classified documents.

Donald Trump says he'll 'PROUDLY' be arrested tomorrow in Georgia on election fraud charges: The ex-president's imminent surrender is poised to overshadow first GOP debate

Trump will surrender in Georgia Thursday - his bail was set at $200,000
Authorities also ordered him not to send threatening social media messages

UPDATED: 00:17 BST, 24 August 2023

Donald Trump is preparing to be 'proudly' arrested in Georgia Thursday on election fraud charges.

'NOBODY HAS EVER FOUGHT FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY LIKE PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP,' the former president wrote on his Truth Social account.

'FOR DOING SO, I WILL PROUDLY BE ARRESTED TOMORROW AFTERNOON IN GEORGIA. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!'

Trump and his 18 co-defendants were charged on August 14 with attempting to overturn Georgia's 2020 presidential election, and were given a deadline of Friday at noon to hand themselves in for booking.

He will surrender at the Fulton County jail in Atlanta.

Former President Donald Trump is preparing to be 'proudly' arrested in Georgia Thursday on election fraud charges

On Monday, the 77-year-old's bail was set at $200,000 and he was ordered not to send threatening social media messages.

Sheriff's deputies on Monday stepped up security, installing barriers around the run-down jailhouse, as his legal team was spotted entering District Attorney Fani Willis' office.

Authorities in Fulton County said he can expect no special treatment.

He will have to be fingerprinted like other suspects at the notorious jail, and may, for the first time in his four indictments, have his mugshot taken.

The jail is well known for its squalid conditions, although Trump will not be held there while he awaits trial.

He took to his social media account to insist that the trial he will face on election fraud charges will be an opportunity to 'show how the Presidential Election of 2020 was RIGGED & STOLLEN.'

He called anyone who doesn't believe him 'FOOLS & COWARDS because we now know the answers to all of the Fraud, Irregularities, & Cheating, & WE CANNOT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!'

The former president announced over the weekend that he would be skipping the first GOP primary debate this week.

Instead, he will be conducting an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social account that the interview will air at 9pm ET tonight - right as the debate kicks off.

'SPARKS WILL FLY,' he promises. 'ENJOY!'

But Trump surrogates have flocked to Milwaukee ahead of Wednesday evening's debate.

Kari Lake spoke to reporters outside the debate hall on Tuesday as Trump supporters waved signs bearing his name in the background.

'This isn't a race guys - the primary's over,' she said, citing Trump's massive lead in the polls. The former president leads by 41 points in the RealClearPolitics polling average.

She also accused Fox News - who is hosting the debate at 9pm ET - of being anti-Trump, saying that is why he was skipping the debate.

'There's no sense for him to go into this and watch a network - that has already decided they want anybody about Trump - garner ratings from him.

'He's just too smart for that. And frankly, he doesn't need that. He's already the nominee. He's so far ahead. No one can catch up.'

The Fulton County Jail, where Former President Trump will be processed, is seen in Atlanta, Georgia

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, another Trump ally who will be in the debate audience, told DailyMail.com it was time for the party to rally behind Trump.
