It’s the only information released so far. It hasn’t stopped the media from blaming Rand Paul. They caught the suspect.

Threats against members of Congress skyrocketed over the past few years, rising from about 4,000 in 2017 to a peak of more than 9,600 in 2021. The number declined to about 7,500 last year, but Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger said in January the threat level remains “still too high.”

I'm not sure, but if you calculate it out... there are 365 days in a year, thus:
4,000 in 2017 meant 10.9 attacks per day every day of the year.
9,600 in 2021 meant 26.3 attacks per day every day of the year.
More than doubled in 4 years. That's way toooooooooooooooo many!
