The second Republican presidential primary debate of the 2024 election cycle featured seven GOP candidates who met the Republican National Committee's criteria to be on stage. The debate hosted by FOX Business was in Simi Valley, California.

That was the dullest debate even though there were raised voices. A few thoughts.
Nicki Haley sounded knowledgeable except she was wrong a few times. Shouting at people didn't make her look presidential.
Ron DeSantis was blah and didn't break any new ground. I expected more from him.
Tim Scott woke up and sounded much better at this debate but why argue with Haley over drapes?
Chris Christie has always been a blowhard. Calling Trump Donald Duck was so childish and ridiculous, but that is his entire MO.
Vivek Ramaswamy was barely there. He has no substance.
Mike Pence is from another generation and doesn't connect at all. Everything he said was out of date and out of touch. At this point, who cares that he was VP?
Doug Bergum shouldn't even be there.
Why did they bring the Univision host to the debate? She was clearly out of her element. Pundits today are saying the moderators had no control over the debate but the other two were fine snd managed to keep it going.
Dana Perino blew it with the final question asking who they would vote off the island. They refused to answer and the debate ended on a strange note. That was extremely unnecessary on her part and was a cheap shot.
