Ours has been closed for three months. They have proven they are almost irrelevant as long as people can get online resources. That won’t go over well with taxpayers. Libraries should have kept their checkout open similar to how it is right now.

I don't live in the City of Atlanta, so I am only aware of Howard when he gets a big case.

Doesn't seem to. He's been DA for 23 years and is running for his 7th term.

I agree with you about Trump. Trump is only interested in what benefits Trump.
I think in his heart he thought he was doing what benefited the country, but I also think he was given some very bad advice. I was certainly not fond of Bushcheneyrove, but he had a political background from a political family. He was at least aware of protocols and "how things are done." He was a very poor president, but a relatively decent human being, neither of which one can say about Trump.

I was with the system for 12 years, almost to the day, and we had so few instances of poorly mannered kids that I can't recall one at the moment.
We served an appreciative community. They loved their library and let us know they did. It was a pleasure to work there. I can't speak for the other branches.

I presume that there will be great demand for the computers to make job applications as soon as the library opens again. There is no other place in the community which serves this critical need.

That many people don’t have access to the internet? Pretty much everyone here has a cell phone.

I also think Bush has grown since his presidency. I would love to have heard GHW Bush's conversations with Obama.
I disliked Cheney intensely and Rove was horrid. I think Bush wanted the war because of his dad; he was way outmatched with Cheney as VP. At least he could show empathy when our country needed it.
