I read there is a tomato and ginger shortage now. The supermarket has very little canned tomatoes, tomato sauce or tomato paste. Prices on tomatoes have risen.

Have you noticed any new shortages?

Prices don’t seem to have gone up much. I’m going to check receipts again.  I spent a little more the past week but I also bought more.

Food may be cheaper elsewhere but without a car I have no way of knowing. Fred Meyer has turned into a very big rip off. Used to sell large economy sizes of frozen food, ie vegetables and chicken parts. Now, it is rare to get anything plain in bigger than a pound.

That could be how it’s packaged for them from the supplier.
