Alaskan companies investing in business in Alaska, hiring Alaskan workers for the benefit of all Alaska citizens is a good thing. Something ALL states should be doing. But also something most Democrat states don't do.

And so now, from the Federal level, claiming climate change and Federal Socialist overlord regulations, they disallow Alaska to be independent!

And this is just the Alaska governor and it's citizens speaking up... I'm sure you're hear similar of government regulations blocking this, stopping that, requiring tons of regulation paperwork and monies to jump through the Federal hoops they've forced on ALL states.

The Federal government should NOT be able to force states to do anything. Our Constitution limits what our Federal Government can do and everything else is left up to the individual states.

But this socialistic administration seems to think otherwise and now... at least Alaska is speaking up and I'm sure many others will follow.

Consumers in Alaska demand certain things. If they can be provided within their own Alaskan border... then that should be the way to go. But when federal government says stop doing this in your state... the consumer demand of those items still remains. But per current admin's policies, to assist climate change... we'll have to shift the manufacturing of those consumer demands to another country. HELLO... the demands have not been reduced. The needs are still there. And thus the manufacturing will shift elsewhere which does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to reduce climate change and in fact may even exacerbate the situation because in Alaska, they follow strict rules... but in the country's those manufacturing jobs will be outsourced to DO NOT follow such strict guidelines which means that it's more dangerous to our environment to outsource it overseas... all the while under the auspices that it's to help curb climate change and at the expense of American jobs in America!

There are good reasons why certain powers were reserved for the states.

Yes... and the Democrats always try to push their government/federal powers over the state too.

And they will continue to do it as long as nobody stops them.
