There is no original strain. It appears to have died out to be replaced by weaker variants.  That is exactly what some predicted.

And where did the variants come from as well as whether the vaccination helped bring about the new variants has yet to be determined.

The vaccine did not bring nor create variants. It is incapable of doing so. The virus changed itself to adapt so it could find more hosts.  It was already adapting by the time  the first vaccines were available. That is what corona viruses do.

Most viruses do that, but the mutation rates and number of mutations of Covid have been off the charts compared to any other comparable virus. And thus one begs to ask the question why? And whether the vaccine itself may have induced the mass mutations or not. And that question has yet to be answered.

Maybe because they manufactured a super virus that behaves differently.

Behaves differently such that a vaccine might cause it to mutate in different ways depending on the DNA of the individual or due to the spike proteins the body creates?

Or perhaps this?

COVID mRNA shots are a ‘technology designed to poison people’: Canadian doctor

Tue Nov 23, 2021 - 4:57 pm EST

Dr. Michael Palmer explained that the mRNA mechanism has the same result as radiation treatments for cancer patients and there are limits on how much the human body can withstand before dying.

WATERLOO, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) — A Canadian doctor and microbiologist explained the toxic dangers of the mRNA COVID vaccines and why he considers the shots a “technology designed to poison people.”

Dr. Michael Palmer, a Canadian board-certified doctor, medical microbiologist, and professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Waterloo, briefly explained in a video posted online last month how the mechanisms within the novel mRNA COVID-19 vaccines function. He also articulated why he thinks the experimental injections present a serious and potentially fatal toxicity risk to recipients.

“[The mRNA shots] have two components. One is the messenger RNA (mRNA) which contains the blueprint for … the spike protein that occurs normally on the surface of the virus particles, and the idea is to sneak this messenger RNA into our own body cells in order to have them make the actual protein to which the immune system responds to,” Palmer explained.

“The second component is the lipid nanoparticles,” the doctor continued. “These lipids, fat-like molecules, they encase the messenger RNA and they serve two purposes. One is to protect the messenger RNA while it is in transport and secondly also to help it enter the body cells.”

According to Palmer, the issue that arises from this is that one of the components of these lipid nanoparticles, the “cationic” or “electrically positively charged lipid,” is “known to be quite toxic” as a “general property.”

As a result, once these toxic lipids enter the cell, “they tend to disrupt the mitochondrial respiration, the cell respiration,” which is a process that humans need “for producing energy.” Palmer states that if this process is disrupted, the oxygen from respiration is not properly “reduced to water” but instead is reduced to “reactive oxygen species” that can “react with anything,” including “our DNA” in a way that inflicts “damage.”

Even worse, Palmer elaborates that the result of this mechanism is the same result radiation treatments for cancer patients produce, which he says means there are strict limits on how much the human body can withstand before dying.

Here is something that is baffling scientists concerning Covid and one non vaccinated country...

Scientists mystified, wary, as Africa avoids COVID disaster

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — At a busy market in a poor township outside Harare this week, Nyasha Ndou kept his mask in his pocket, as hundreds of other people, mostly unmasked, jostled to buy and sell fruit and vegetables displayed on wooden tables and plastic sheets. As in much of Zimbabwe, here the coronavirus is quickly being relegated to the past, as political rallies, concerts and home gatherings have returned.

“COVID-19 is gone, when did you last hear of anyone who has died of COVID-19?” Ndou said. “The mask is to protect my pocket,” he said. “The police demand bribes so I lose money if I don’t move around with a mask.” Earlier this week, Zimbabwe recorded just 33 new COVID-19 cases and zero deaths, in line with a recent fall in the disease across the continent, where World Health Organization data show that infections have been dropping since July.

When the coronavirus first emerged last year, health officials feared the pandemic would sweep across Africa, killing millions. Although it’s still unclear what COVID-19’s ultimate toll will be, that catastrophic scenario has yet to materialize in Zimbabwe or much of the continent.

Scientists emphasize that obtaining accurate COVID-19 data, particularly in African countries with patchy surveillance, is extremely difficult, and warn that declining coronavirus trends could easily be reversed.

But there is something “mysterious” going on in Africa that is puzzling scientists, said Wafaa El-Sadr, chair of global health at Columbia University. “Africa doesn’t have the vaccines and the resources to fight COVID-19 that they have in Europe and the U.S., but somehow they seem to be doing better,” she said.

Fewer than 6% of people in Africa are vaccinated. For months, the WHO has described Africa as “one of the least affected regions in the world” in its weekly pandemic reports.

Some researchers say the continent’s younger population — the average age is 20 versus about 43 in Western Europe — in addition to their lower rates of urbanization and tendency to spend time outdoors, may have spared it the more lethal effects of the virus so far. Several studies are probing whether there might be other explanations, including genetic reasons or past infection with parasitic diseases.

These people are extremists and it’s not based on science at all.  I’m not going to read any more of this nonsense.

But even the vaccinated are ending up either in the hospital or dying... which means that Rand Paul was not absolutely correct.

Even those who wear their seat belts sometimes get killed or crippled in a serious crash but statistically they have a much better chance of recovering from the accident than if they became a unrestrained projectile in the vehicle during the crash, to penetrate the windshield or other opening and be ejected from the car and into the melee of moving wreckage.

Vaccines are more like a combination of both defensive driving and seat belts. They reduce your chances of getting in a crash / getting Covid, and improve your odds of surviving to make a full recovery if you are unlucky enough to get it anyway.

And of course some people are unlucky enough to roll snake eyes no matter how well protected they are, like the dude who was a defensive driving instructor wearing seat belts, car equipped with air bags and such, but when on that 2 lane bridge, and the left front tire blew out on an approaching 18 wheeler, he didn't stand a chance as there was no distance to brake, and no place to swerve, and the guard rail was too strong to punch through it and plunge to the river below rather than be struck head-on.

Over 232 million people have been vaccinated. That is .008 and a very small percentage. Deaths are .00008.

Pretty good statistics. Far better than what the unvaccinated numbers are. Like wearing a seat belt - you hit the guard rail and bust a hole through someone's fence, but are able to get up and walk around versus go through the windshield or out the side window to be squished to a pulp.
