It's wonderful that we can still declare it
As the rumour goes; we might all mislay it
The Garden (where good things grew) - a Lockdown Story
23 Nov 2020

What if lockdowns do more harm than good?
Shouldn't we at least consider that it's possible?
The sun brightly shines under heavy clouds.
It makes us all sad as the gloom enshrouds.
Everything was free to grow and evolve
We were all happy and living as we know
There was a time Liberty meant freedom
Liberal meant power to do as one pleases
It meant freedom from physical restraint
Of all the green wines and flowers
No one left a promise for more showers
Still so magnificent, still announced
As the story goes; we value the rebound
I beg your pardon
I never promised you a rose garden
From "Rose garden" by Dolly Parton:
You can pick a flower for its sweet scent.
You can't choose a garden -- it might be absent.
