As long as people are able to claim that seeing, or hearing something has caused them emotional trauma because it, in their opinion, relates to slavery, demeans them, etc. and are able to successfully remove, demand, or persuade a business, town, city, state, to remove said item, or change it's name, racism will not be eliminated. There will, however, be a fairly constant supply of new "victims".

A recent study (2018) shows that the Japanese are predominantly descendants of the Yayoi people and are closely related to other modern East Asians, especially Koreans and Han Chinese. It is estimated that the majority of Japanese only has about 12% Jomon ancestry or even less.
