Aunt Acid is my "mouthpiece". She's a polymer clay puppet that will be starring in her own internet show starting this summer. I've got the bare bones of her website up, with LOTS more to come. Take a peek now before the content starts to get pointed.

Her polymer parts are all Kato Polyclay. This is the first large scale sculpt I've done with it, and I am very impressed. The clay is extremely strong, takes details very well, and though it darkens slightly on baking , subsequent rebakes with additional clay end up the same color (it didnt darken cumulatively). Donna's clay is wonderful. Firm enough to use easily, strong enough to withstand dropping the head on the floor. And it takes acrylic paint very nicely too.

I used a #3 sheet from my PM over paper mache and a coating of liquid kato polyclayand her head is very hard and her skin is VERY tough. Which she will no doubt need, as she will be very provoking.

please, let me know what you think of her! (and remember--this is ONLY the beginning. I havent even hooked her head onto her body yet, wait till you see what she gets up to THEN!!!)

thank you! My sister gets the giggles when she sees Aunt Acid; oddly enough there's a strong resemblance to me, my mom and my grandma. Imagine!

Oh my! I can't wait to see what Aunt Acid has to say... she's great looking. I love her luminous skin.
