I'm interested in creating large sculptures and wall art (2' and maybe larger???), and have not found anyone else in the poly clay community doing that.  Is anyone out there who has done this, or is interested in doing it?  I'd love to talk to you about it and the specific challenges of larger size items with poly clay.  You can see my website at www.mysticdreamerart.com for examples of what I've done so far. It's just a beginning.

I like your work very much... very original and love the colors you use. the only problem I can see in working with very large pieces is having a oven large enough with a consistent temperature... but then I've really never tried making anything larger than about 8 inches.

Good luck, and let us see them when you finish! :)

I haven't made any large sculptures/wall installations Ann but I believe you create them in parts that fit together after baking...
I love you artful pieces by the way...fresh and original!

Your work is ADORABLE!! I love it so much, wow. Beautiful stuff, great design, very inspirational.

I did one large piece, it was made of smaller pieces though. You can see it here:

heythere! you are a neighbor! I'm right next door in Longmont.

My husband and I do large pieces. The biggest so far is a radio flyer wagon. With the bigger pieces, we bake first and then aply to forms. Right now my dh is covering a 12string guitar and I'm doing 2'x4' wall panels. here's a link to pics of some of his pieces, and there's lots to see on the website.
