Hi all,

I'm new to beading and polymer clay jewelry. I want to know if there are any good instruction books for the beginner.

Thanks,
Eli

I like "The Polymer Clay Techniques Book" by Sue Heaser.  It covers a lot of techniques, and I find the book easy to understand.  If you don't see it in a craft store, Amazon.com should have it.

What Kim said.  And Donna Kato's books, either of the two she authored alone.

Making polymer clay beads , by Carol Blackburn

This is a great one that is specifically about beads. It helped me a lot when I started.

Hi Eli - and welcome to PCC and your new addiction.

I certainly agree on the Sue Heaser book -  and since you have your heart set on jewelry, Donna Kato has two great books out.
Lot's of other books on jewelry are available, so I'd suggest a trip to your local library - it may help you choose.

Also there are oodles of online tutorials - here's a link to a very long list of links on my website. You'll find tutorials on jewelry making under *Projects -> Jewelry*

Have fun - ask all the questions you need to on this board - and show us what you make.

Thanks Eva.

My new addiction? Yeah, I think it is going to quickly become that! I saw some georgeous stuff by Laura Timmins at an art fair this week-end. I'm inspired.

Beads are probably a good place to start.

Thanks!
