I'm totally tickled. My new (4th) polymer clay book has just been released by www.amazon.com. It's over 200 pages. This one is much more in depth in regards to technique.

It's so exciting that I've already heard from people who have ordered it. Happy Claying!

Released a month early. That's an unexpected delight :) I have it on my wish list. One picture really has me scratching my head and I must know how you did it :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I enjoyed writing it. I have a lengthy post about it and some sneak peek photos on my blog:

The light to dark gold paint splats on the textured black background has me very curious. :) I want to do that too LOL

Hi Tonja,

That's an advanced version of the Sutton Slice. I'd love to post the directions, but since they're copy-written for the book, you'll have to check them out there. There are some other advanced concepts for the technique also included among many others

I wasn't able to squeeze in my Faux Raku technique developed just before publication. Perhaps this will show up in the next clay book or an article. I'm teaching this in France at Corbieres Creatives II:

Glad the technique caught your eye.

Hugs,

Lisa
