Hi, I have just found the forum and am delighted to find all this great info.  I am new to polymer clay.  I have taken a few classes and am now making some beads and pendants.
I was playing around with a blend/cane that didn't make it.  So I rolled it around and Nate the snake was created.  I put a rough oblong quartz in the middle and it looks like he is wound around a cactus or something. I used to be a very active hiker, birdwatcher, and rock hound.  So I have alot of material.  I laugh at myself because every snake in our gardening shed has been named Nate.  Anyway, I can't wait to start reading posts.

Thanks for having me on the forum!

Hi tkay and welcome to PCC. It's so nice to have your here. If you have a photo of Nate the snake, I hope you'll consider posting it in the Show and Tell folder. If you need to know the "how" just ask. I might have that info in my data base, or else someone else will now what to tell you. (I don't post directly, but rather through a link to my website, so I'm not totally sure of the how it's done)

I have a generic post here at PCC that I love to share with new PC-ers that lists hints, best beginner book, sites to get beginning info etc. Here is a link to the most recent time it was posted. It’s gotten so long that I’ve split it into two posts. So please check both of my consecutive posts.

p.1 is basic PC info

p.2 is a list of URLs to PC resources including tutorials

If you have questions about PC, please don't hesitate to ask. Sometimes it takes a while, but usually somebody who knows the answer will answer eventually.
