Well Kathi, here is the one bead that I like out of a few that I have tried. It was built on the 20mm form with scrappy green clay. I used Swellegants bronze metal on it and then the Swellegant patina. After it got rough and old looking I stopped the action on it, dried it and used Vintaj patina on top of the others and smudged it a lot.
I was pretty happy with the way it turned out but the picture doesn;t do it justice. It is really, really old looking in person. Now to decide what to pair it with!

Thank you! It should fit with all my 'artifact', 'grunge', 'dug-up' look.

Thanks Kathi! There is definitely a 'learning curve' with those paper beads but one I got the knack it went fairly smoothly. And the Swellegent really makes it look like metal when you get finished distressing and tinting.

Very nice! The detail in the acorn caps is super.

Thank you  I was on the verge of throwing them out in a 'fly-lady' frenzy when I thought of just experimenting if they were going to be pitched anyway. Sometimes just a change of color changes the whole feel.

Kathy those are awesome!

I sell the cotton paper balls on my site if anyone is searching, especially for those in UK / Europe. I've got them in 10,15 and 20 mm round.

OK, it's official...I'm addicted now to these hollow beads. So of course in order to keep making them I will need to sell them so I put them on etsy; I hope they sell because otherwise they will be Christmas gifts regardless of the recipient! LOL!
