fimo)Hello to all who are still here!

I  have been busy catching up withhh birthday presents for my family. I am about to work  on a present for my mother (birthday in December). I haad an idea too try something new. I purchased a beginner's set of papers and a book on quilling. My idea has been to use polymer clay (I use Fimo primarily). I had it in my head that since I had not seen anything about it in the years since I started playing with PC, I would be makiing somethiing new!

I have been cut down and have my feet planted firmly on Terra Firma. Of course, others have been quilling with polymer clay! I have told people you can use it with anything you make with paper. https://www.pinterest.com/fadisan/polymery-clay-quilling/ is where I started, after searching with Google.  There are gorgeous pieces here.

Now, toooo refrain from comparing myself out of making the gift I have planned.  Perhaps I  will make the flipflops I have been threatening to make for for my son-in-law. He wears themm all year round - this is iin NE Ohio! I don't know if he will try wearing them - they will be large enough for him to wear. I was thinking of making grass with extruded clay for the soles.

My self=esteem is in the toilet. Perhaps that is the way to go to bring it back  up.

You could take a look at this article >> My Polymer Quilling Article Published in The Polymer Arts Spring 2015 Issue!
http://createmyworlddesigns.blogspot.com/2015/02/my-polymer-quilling-article-published.html

And then the 2015 write up on him is found here >> The Polymer Arts magazine
http://www.thepolymerarts.com/Digital_US-INT.html

Or else that's the link I saved to purchase just the copy he's written up in.

I'm going to be doing a lot of clay quilling also, so have a slew of Pins and links and so forth on the topic. I'm going to add an extra element to mine to raise the bar on it. You're right, it's not a big topic for many, but there are several doing it. I just saw a piece made by someone the other day in Facebook.
