I don't think anyone has really 'gone' anywhere.  I've been in polyclay for 40 years, and I suspect that, after the initial buzz from all the new materials hitting the market a few years ago, people just learning their way around the material want to talk to other folks who are learning.  But, after the rush, folks just sort of begin learning on their own, and don't need forums like this any longer.  I've never bothered visited one, before--and my work got me into a very important art school.  I'm only here today because I wanted to save Delphi to my computer!

Ok...I'm out! Just had to come check out TAD and see what everyone is doing :) I have the day off tomorrow and plan to take out my clay. Not a clue what I will be inspired to make...any ideas??? I found my bead rollers...man, I always loved those...so maybe beads. But maybe some embellishment to use with my knitting?

Hiiiiii miss Susan! Yay! the day off and clay, perfect. Beads are fun for getting back into it, I think - and especially if you already know you like making them. Also, how about buttons? You will see the lovelies that Tina made here, they are pretty.

Even just mixing colors can get your mind moving in the right direction. I hope you will have fun with it, that's the most important thing. :)

Hi Susan - good to see you here.

Like Jackie, I thought of buttons, too, but I also love making shawl pins to go with my knitted neck warmers. Go ahead and knead your clay and inspiration will come to you, I'm sure.

I've been going thru my claying supplies and can't believe how much I have! Also searched Pinterest for button ideas...it's so easy to get lost down bunny trails there, lol. But I'm bursting with ideas now. Coffee first then time to play :)

Thank you, Eva! It's so nice to be back seeing familiar "faces!" You are so right about a shawl pin. Now...what color? Do you think clay alone will make a strong enough pin or should I cover a stick? I haven't been this enthusiastic about claying in quite a while. I woke up early with ideas swirling in my head!
