Thanks for sharing this with us. I am sort of a messy cane keeper. To prevent them from sticking together because I frequently throw a bunch of them into the container at the same time I roll the canes in an appropriate color mica powder. I prefer Perfect pearls brand because it has resin in it and sticks really well. The little dusted canes lay happily together until I get another idea.

This started because I wanted to do some embedded roses with a metallic edge on them. I dusted the cane after it was the right size and the slices of cane all had a thin metallic edge around them. Also, when I put them in with the other canes used in the project, they did not stick together.
