TEMPERAMENT

Hi Deb, I am on pins and needles trying to "will" the phone to ring telling me I have the house.  I guess I will have to wait.  I have emailed and called once (and left a message, he was not with his phone) since Laeo sent the 6 short videos, maybe I want this too much.  I am trying to read "Circling the Sun" and so far it is good.  Coffee is having a BIG party and is setting up a tent outside in his yard (our lawns run into each other)-it will be LOUD and no fun for me, but I have to deal with it. Glad you are getting work done.  Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hugs,

Rhonda

FABRICATION

Back for a little while - PBS Mystery tonight is an episode of Sherlock Hoomes (the new British series with Benedict Cumberbatch) which I did not see when it originally aired. 8pm EDT

My Vikings won - preseason so it means nothing!

Rhonda, hope you get that call soon!

UNQUESTIONABLE

Hi Jo and thanks-I have filled out two applications since then to hedge my bets-I found a charmer in West Asheville which I really like.  I also found a cottage in Black Mountain, a small town next to Asheville which would also be acceptable as I work at home and it is a neat town.  We'll see.

So glad the Vikings won-I don't know when the first Patriots game is-don't even know if Brady is going to play the first game-guess they are still deciding.  I think he is innocent, but of course, I would lol!!

Hugs,

Rhonda

REGENERATIVE

Hi Rhonda, I'm glad that you've found a couple of other places in case the house you like falls through. Luckily you still have quite a bit of time before you plan to move.

I got caught in a sudden storm when I was out getting groceries and I got soaked to the skin - even my reusable canvas shopping bags had lots of water in the bottoms - lol!

AMAZEMENT

Hi Deb, sorry you got caught in the storm-ugh!  I guess you didn't have an umbrella!

I am wrung out by all this rental stuff, I just got off the phone with one guy who says since he doesn't know me, and I am not bringing in regular income, he would have to get some rent upfront.  NOW, I am not against that in principle, but I am not just going to paypal someone some money-I need a contract and I need a lawyer to look at it-I am at a disadvantage here. And I am not a dummy, although I feel dumb sometimes.  I hope this doesn't turn into a complicated thing, but right now it feels that way. To be fair, I understand it on the rental agent's side-"but" they can call my money manager and find out how much I am worth (of course they would not know the stock amount)....like I said, I feel strung out.

Hope you got lots of practical stuff done-I am sure you did. I still haven't heard from the first house yet, but I have to realize that I only wrote him for the first time on the 28th-I need to be a little patient.  Not my strong suit.

Hugs,

Rhonda

BREADWINNER

Hi Rhonda, yes, you must be feeling a bit strung out by all of this.  I agree that you must be careful about sending money to a stranger and a contract is a must.  Try not to get too bent out of shape - whatever's meant to happen will happen.  Patience is not my strong suit either - lol!

FASHIONMONGER

Rhonda,  you might want to talk to your banker/investment person or your lawyer.  And have the bank or lawyer handle it. You choose the property - they handle the contract/payments. They have the knowledge, savvy and power to make sure you are protected. The fuh0nds could be in escrow until possession takes place. Or some such arrangement. Both sides safeguarded.  Just a thought.

Remember what we all practice: breathing deeply to release tension and anxiety.  It is also approoriate here.

Jo
