Oh speaking of my neighbor on that street, Jim the man that helped me alot and watched the street like a hawk passed away last week from leukemia, exact same AML strain that Linda has. He never went into remission and only lived 10 months after diagnosis. He was 69. When I sold that house I had to pay for a radon gas exhaust system. I told Linda's doctor this and they said it was no big deal or coincidence though.
Sad this man worked tirelessly, his wife was a shut-in and didn't drive, and his sons were allergic to lawn work. He'd work 60hrs a week, driving 2 hours a day, then take his wife grocery shopping, etc, then pull weeds and mow grass and manicure his front hill ivy.
This is the reason we quit folks, to try to stave off the reaper as long as you can. 70 years on this earth is nothing in the grand scheme.

Dear Rich I do feel for you with all those others needing you when you are still fragile.I guess you pick up everything as a side effect of all that treatment for your cancer.Isnt it wonderful you are here for them LOL
Yes your Harley is your lifesaver isnt it?
I am sorry your Mum isnt out of hospital with her shoulder but she must be lucky to get so many repair jobs over here just getting on the waiting list would be a triumph.
Now this leads on to me.I got a call last Monday saying it was the 02 nurse and I though OMG did the tests finally proved I had barely any 02 overnight.Yay it was positive and I feel like I have been throw HOPE and a new life. After a week I now sleep most of the night and dont have attacks and ambulances at 5 am.
I do feel so positive now as before it was like being in a road that was dark and soon would end now the sun shines and just by using the concentrator all night while I sleep is a miracle.I have been told it should in a few weeks start to allow more strength and help all my organs work better.

Thank you I seem to be surrounded by l lots of angels around me and since the unbelievable news where himself was caught and my life exploded.
I also have an 80year old who also pops in when the other neighbour is away. The support of these sort of people have helped me get to where I am.A few weeks ago I thought it was the end and then suddenly I got my miracle and more importantly my hope.

That's fantastic news! O2 eh? Kinda surprised since it's so easy to check that now a days. Must be to do laying down and asleep. Yes, Linda was on O2 a couple of months last year. Hopefully you get much better quickly. Might be on it for a lifetime now. Have you been checked for copd?
Thanks for letting us know. That was worrysome. Will check back later.

Oh Rich I fell into the "send her home group"when sent to our local hospital .It was like they decided I was too hard or too costly(They have not enough funding to go around and many miss out)I couldnt do most of the tests and was given lung capacity 22% , serious lung problems and call the Hospice for help.I felt badly treated and had nowhere to go.Life was hell for 3 years but now by some miracle I am feeling something positive is happening. Its truly amazing and do hope it continues.More testing with 02 in a few months.
On my last admission I think someone actually decided to help me and I am now apparently in the loop with help coming.
I hope your poor wing injured patients are doing the best they can and you are getting in those much deserved rides.

That's terrible treatment. 22% and you didn't already have a 02 machine? I see so much waste in the health industry here, needless tests and equip and then you hear someone can't get into a doctors office or afford medications. Sad world.
Aye, my mother is on the mend but can go home and Linda gets around pretty well with the increase with pain meds since they will not give her a shoulder replacement, too much danger for infection. In fact my mom is still in the hospital cause she has an infection from her shoulder replacement.
I finally signed up for medicare myself at the last minute. What a PITA.
Hope the 02 helps you in the short and long run! Bless.

Dear Rich the week before I got the call to say they were sending an 02 machine to my house I was ready to give up
Now I sleep most of the night with no terrible attacks, ambulances or any drama. How amazing and yes perhaps it would have been picked up under your system but mine was absolutely a fluke. We had a meeting with hospice at my house and all my supporters asked "Why no 02"the specialist nurse said she would check out in home testing and wow the result showed lows of 80 and 70 during sleep.
I reckon I will be around for a bit longer now and hopefully will find other benefits later.Just being here is a good one too.
Hope Mum is better now and suck it up and use whatever you can get even if its PITA
