I saw your IM after I looked for others ;p  Sheesh I wish I could make it all go away and be better but at least we are free of the nic demon.  I think thats' a pretty awesome positive going forward you know.  At least on your side of the hemisphere its getting warmer, this may help your breathing.

Sometimes all we need is a change of seasons.  I've been away as I noted above.  I spent today rebuilding my starter but its too cold to ride now, or very few days without moisture on the way ;p  Today I just put a bandaid on it, but this winter I may pull it all together and do a proper fix, or buy a new starter.  Prob with modern bikes, they lack the ol' kickstarter which I never needed much in the past.  Jap bikes of course are better built than the HD I currently have.  Pity.  Both still give the same fun and wind factor ;D

Still waiting for pappy's blood tests on the IV's I was giving him.  He developed a rash and they abruptly stopped them just 3 days before the end of the course and he has 3 infections in his foot.  Sucks getting old ;(   I hope the weather brings you better days sweetie.  Always thinking of my favorite gal ;D

Hey Rich,

That’s okay, it doesn’t issue alerts to me either. I’m so sorry you and your family are going through that. It’s a shame they don’t provide those first alert type services free to the elderly who cannot afford another monthly payment. They should, imo, but unfortunately my opinion on the matter doesn’t add up to diddly with those who could actually change things. I’m glad you still have both your parents though, that’s a Blessing. I’ve had to give IV’s in the past too. What’s causing the infections in your Dad’s foot? I hope his rash has improved. I also hope his blood test came back good and that your Mom hasn’t had anymore falls. Good luck with the bandaid.I hope it holds up until you can get a new starter, and that you can still find a little good weather here and there to take another quick ride. Sending good thoughts to you and all of your family. It’s good to hear from you. Thanks, you take care too.

They seem to be well as of today. Pappy had a fungus infection that entered his toe bone and having diabetes everything became complicated. The IV's made him allergic so stopped them after 8 days or so.  I really wanted him to keep going, finish them but he wouldn't ;p

I'm waiting for a new leather coat to be delivered today. I found my prob, I had an aftermarket USB charging component shorting out internally and it was sucking up all the amps. Once I removed that the starter kicks into full glory now.  Ah, me and my mechanic abilities ;p  I plan on riding today 5 mins after the package arrives.  I can't believe my coat wouldn't fit.  It put me on an instant diet.  Counting calories is the only thing that works. Going to see how many lbs I can shed before Thanksgiving gets here ;p  Thanks for the update, have a great one.

Hey Rich,

I’m sorry to hear that about your Dad. I thought that might be the reason for it though. That’s the same reason I had to give IV’s to my family member. I hope your Dad’s foot heals.

I’m glad you found out it was nothing more than the USB. Hope you have fun on your ride today.

Same thing happened with me, only with pants ordered online, lol. I lost some weight and got into them but still trying to lose a bit more. I want to get back to what I weighed before joining here. I’m definitely getting closer. Good luck to you too. I get it about the holiday too. I look at that delicious food and my brain says resist but my appetite laughs and says who me?! Ain’t happening. lol.

I hope have a great day. Talk to you later.

Hi Rich Just catching up now I have a new laptop and am getting the hang of it.

Hoping you and family are doing OK and you are keeping warm and riding well still

I am still around and using 02 more often now but have bought a new house.A little wee house that well insulated and double glazed which should be great for my health and perhaps I will be able to use the tiny bit of energy easier in a small place.

Thinking of you and yours as we arrive closer to the end of another year

Sounds great Triff!  Things are about the same here, its now winter and not really enjoyable bike weather ;p  I have the gear but I catch every cold / flu that comes along, so nope for me until April.

Thanksgiving is almost over. I  have to repeat it for daughter coming tomorrow though. Her boyfriends always seem to win out, sigh.

Glad you got your new house.  I hope it comes with new good neighbors for when you need help.  Keep that O2 close.  Pity you need it after ceasing to smoke ;(  Always in my mind though.  Take care.

My new baby :D  My Christmas present.  I just couldn't resist myself.  I told my local Harley dealer I wanted a road bike worthy of tripping to major events around the country, mainly Bikers for Trump rallies in DC and a trip to NC/SC for political rallies and bike rallies.

This bike represents TWO years of cigarette savings of two packs a day @ $6 a pack!  This is how fast my bank acct grows when I'm not buying those damn cancer sticks!  Now only if I get another clean CT scan Thurs ;p

Rich

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a smoke-free Happy New Year.  You can do this, we can do this. The reward (wind in my face) and whatever freedom it allows you is priceless.  Love you all ;D
