The concept was to use one to break another. She didn't like technology. Used a wooden spoon to make mashed potatoes and whipped cream. Told my bother a blender ruined food. :)
Sunflower, though I'm not sure I could taste the difference.
Granola or muesli.
2/17/23
Granola (I am from Portland, lol ) You can use a blender to make mashed potatoes??? I use this funny metal doohickey thingy by hand, I thinks it’s called a potato masher
Mashed potatoes: add some sour cream when mashing or no
2/18/23
Yes, sour cream when mashing, stirring, mixing or blending. Paul, your grandma was probably a wonderful cook!
I have made butter by whipping the crap out of cream.
Raise your hands or yell going thru tunnel?
2/18/23
No, but I do hold my breath going through a tunnel
So that really works with making butter?
Mashed potatoes: leave some skins on or no
2/18/23
Oh yeah, there’s that one too! Yes it does, but it has a different texture. My friend’s mother, when I was in high school, always engaged us in different cooking skills that weren’t used much anymore. We even pulled taffy once!
No skins.
Favorite taffy flavor? Mine is cinnamon
2/19/23
Watermelon. Can't say I eat taffy unless I'm in Atlantic City.
Favorite cotton candy flavor
2/19/23
I don’t remember having different flavors of cotton candy. We get a choice of pink or blue and I choose pink.
Hiking or biking?
2/20/23
Hiking, biking can be hazardous in the city.
Beach or mountains?
Regarding cotton candy, not sure the flavors taste different, but I've seen others. I remember buying an Italian ice on the street years ago. The flavors were lemon, orange, chocolate, and blue. I asked the guy if blue was blueberry or mint, He said neither. I asked what the flavor was, he said blue. I told him blue was a color. He responded so is orange. I bought the lemon, but still don't know what blue tastes like.
2/20/23
Java that story is hilarious! “Blue is a color…so is orange…” And after that you didn’t get the blue??? We all know what orange tastes like, but now I wanna taste blue too! Probably makes your tongue blue also just like those lollipops do
Now that’s a tough tough choice…depends on my mood…(this is when I lick the tip of my finger and hold it up to the wind for a few seconds…) Beach it is!
Build sandcastle or no
2/20/23
Build, though it's been decades.
Collect seashells or coins.
Not a slushy fan so probably never tried anything blue. I was at a charity even sponsored by Absolut. Tried blueberry vodka, but that was still clear.
