Dear Miss Kitty ~
Perhaps your ears were ringing yesterday morning ~ as Jim and I had our coffee on the glass table surrounded by your lovely Sanibel shells. We looked at each one and laughed how you would know EACH and EVERY one........they are indeed beautiful and a fun reminder of you and Brian and our trip ~ also ones you had sent so long ago.
A sunny but cool day here in Ohio. Off to find a new bird feeder. They are eating us out of house and home. Two hummingbird feeders where we are graced with a few each day. Also, a Baltimore Oriole appeared twice. We love our birds!
Enjoy the day. Susan

Dear Ernie,
Saw your posting re: State Farm. I took a break away from them for a year...and really regretted it. The new insurance company (although lower to begin with...raised my RATES the second year). Because I had been a State Farm customer since 1977....long long time, they welcomed me back with all of my years......with open arms. Never have had a problem with them. Good look finding quotes. I hate it all medical insurance, car insurance, yada yada. You have to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges.
I will be shopping next year for health insurance. I know next year will be knee replacement and I have to have a more comprehensive policy.
Carry on...as they say. Susan

we feed birds here but 3 kinds of mourning doves and once in awhile cardinals....up north we had to give it up because of bears...loved watching the hummingbirds...I was told only one kind in CT....will miss that....today they came to appraise the house...and yes if I had a picture of your shells I could name them....but since I am not out there anymore...sometimes a name might slip my mind....but right now the mind is preoccupied...LOL

Morning Susan. We were at my wife's father's for Fathers day, he's 84. I've never been to a yacht club.
I'm still walking 6-7 miles in the morning with Brandy, she's so great even though I still miss Cocoa and the others badly.
I'm busy digging drainage ditches on the uphill side of our property. Still have water running in one even though hasn't rained here in a long time. So far I haven't damaged anything but I've come within inches.
I still have some people to talk to about my car insurance premiums, neither the agent or the customer service in the main company will tell me anything. So it must be if I put a car on the road after I'm 65. Guess I should've stopped taking my SS off the road in the Winter but I didn't know.
Have a great day.
Ernie

Morning Kitty. Glad you have a great place to stay on your daughter's property. Also, your sale going through smoothly.
We had daughter and grands over for pizza last eve, great to see them again, even though the boys seem to fight all the time they're in the pool.
I'm digging drainage ditches with the backhoe we got last year, keeping me busy. Also, cut down half a tree at my daughter's. She was always afraid it would break and fall on her pool. Now that the pool is gone and she wants to build a chicken coop there, she wanted it gone.
Have a great day Kitty.

Good morning......a chicken coop instead of a pool? interesting.....and boys fight over nothing all the time...remember when the first two boys reached an age..that is all they did for a long time....and sometimes even now...over 60 yrs old they still do now and again....LOL have a good day and don't work too hard...

Morning Kitty. We did get some rain yesterday, it's been missing us for a long time. Some of the streams Brandy and I walk past were drying up.
The pool collapsed a few years ago. It was an above ground with no shallow end so was not very good for children. They still have our pool to play in.
We have to take my wife's car to the dealer for couple small problems this morning, still under warranty.
My brothers talked me into taking my shoes off and running across a scaffold in the barn. Had a bumble bee's nest in it. I got my feet stung so bad dr thought I was allergic to bee stings, Had to soak my feet in mud for a long time and told all the organizations I was allergic to bee stings for many years. Finally realized I wasn't allergic. And that was just one episode. I hope I got them back a couple times.
Must be very hot down south in the Summer, maybe cool enough for a walk in the morning. Brandy and I walk early to avoid the heat but we go 6-7 miles. Only 56 this morning so will be cool enough.
Have a great day.

wow 6-7 miles is a long way....Brian walks a couple of miles each morning and comes home "wet" it is about 80 degrees here now with an 89 degree humidity so summer is here...poor you with the bee stings....I stepped on a yellow jacket nest when I was a kid....ouch.....have a good day.....

Morning Kitty. Lots of rain storms coming this morning so maybe a walk later today, will have to use the elliptical this morning.
Would be terrible trying to walk in your weather.
Wife's 2 year old Rav4 has a defective transfer case clutch. Thought it would be simpler. Last Rav4 had no problems until the guy hit it head on.
At least it went during the warranty period.
Couldn't continue digging the drainage ditches yesterday, ground was to wet from the rain. Now we have more heavy rain coming.
Have a great day on the island Kitty.
