it is 82 here already....and no rain as far as I know ....just got up and am having my first cup of coffee...I threw out those cards didn't make any sense to pack them and then store them in a closet..... did lots of packing and picking up trinkets and put them in the spare room to be packed...I am already tired just thinking about it....might take the day off...think Brian needs time off....and yes I was an avid sheller which had to stop a couple of years ago....so shells were packed lots and lots...don't know what they will look like in CT...I used to compete in the shell fair here and won lots of ribbons, how do you leave that behind....? onward and upward...have a good day Ernie....

Morning Kitty. I get ads for your island on Facebook with pictures of shells. They look great, don't know if I've ever seen such colorful shells.
I can't imagine us packing up to move. I'm afraid it will all fall on our daughters after we are gone.
We didn't do a lot yesterday. Got some new birdseed for our bird feeders, on sale for veterans. Still have lots of small birds using the one I keep going during the Summer. End up feeding lots of mice, chipmunks, and some squirrels. Sometimes one of them gets trapped inside of the church bird feeder.
Brandy and I will get out on our walk a little early today to beat the heat.
Have a great day Kitty.

We have made a couple of moves that I wasn't happy about...but this is good and the right time in our lives...but of course it will be missed....more packing to do today all little things that we will need eventually...rolling pin? will need it eventually but not for awhile...other odds and ends....have a good day Ernie...it is 80 outside....and we have had thunderstorm including some rain...but now it looks like the sun might come out...might stay cooler if it stayed cloudy....

Morning Kitty. It's 63 here at 5 AM so it's a warm day. Summer doesn't last that long here in NY, have to enjoy it while it passes quickly. Ground is slowly drying, still water seeping out of our banks.
Haven't found the oil leak in my Subaru Baja yet, will keep looking. We have to phone the dealership about our Rav4 parts today, been a couple weeks. I've never found a car dealership that was completely honest.
I found a couple digital phones while I was cleaning the basement cleaned them up, charged them, and connected them into the phone wired system I got for my parents old 1957 bakelite phone. Many calls we try to make have a menu and can't navigate a menu system with a rotary phone. We both have cell phones but they drop calls from our home.
Trying to clean that one part of the basement a little at a time. It generates garbage and I don't want to much at once. You must be getting lots of garbage with your packing.
I have my blood test and dr appt next week. Just had the ultrasound appt. At least a year away from next ultrasound. Stent is in place a not leaking, they said. I don't like fasting like everyone. I guess I can drink black coffee with the blood test. Can't even drink water with the ultrasound.
Have a great day Kitty.

I hope the tests go okay and are bright and early so you can have your coffee....that is always the hard part for me too....when you can have nothing I always swish water and spit it out...dry mouth doesn't work for me...the first thing I do in the morning is drink water and then move on to two cups of coffee then water all day.....addicted to water.....LOL we are already up to 79 degrees another day to work inside....thunder storms every day one at 2 am woke me up and we got lots of rain....it has been a strange rainy seasons....dryer then usual....have a good one and hope you get your car parts....

Morning Kitty. Upper 60s here at 5 AM so warm early. The no coffee, no water, test is past. Next one I can drink black coffee. I've lost 33 pounds so I know the next tests will be best ever. I test my own glucose so I know it's down to almost normal. Still have to improve so I can stop taking the 3 meds I have for glucose. My blood pressure is down to 110/66, so almost a low pressure.
I got some digging done with the backhoe yesterday but stopped early to help my daughter. Ground is dry so I need to get a lot done today, tomorrow is 60% chance rain again.
My daughter has a water leak, was lucky, only had to get vise grips on the bolt and tighter a nut to stop it. Had two rusted bolts she needed to get off, she had the dremel and the discs to cut bolts, she just hadn't ever used those. Another problem we solved easily. She had spent the whole day building a chicken coop so she was worn out.
I was trying to cut down on coffee and replace it with water but I stopped losing weight because I didn't make it work. So increased coffee again until I lose more weight, then try it again.
Have a great day Kitty, hope you're almost done with packing.

Good morning Ernie....it is already 80 here so early in the morning....getting close to the getting the packing done....pod comes 20th and we are now concerned that everything won't fit...good grief this is getting to be too much have to get it done.
7/8/20
Morning Kitty. I wouldn't stress out over stuff not fitting in the pod before you know if it will. You two will get it done, I have faith in you.
Warm here this morning also. Hope it doesn't rain here so I can get more digging done. Got a lot done yesterday but another hour would help a lot before we get another cloudburst.
Parts came in for my wife's car. Lucky we called in to check, they said they called her cell but no message or missed calls. They must have to pull the engine down out and remove the transfer case to replace the clutch because it's in the shop for two days. She gets a rental included in the warranty.
Took my electric screwdriver / nut driver over to my daughter so she can assemble her chicken coops. I had left a cheaper model there but it's worn out. Got the cheaper one for Christmas about 15 years ago, it did a lot of work, time for it to retire.
Hope you two get a chance to go to the beach before you leave.
Have a great day.

The beach is so close we will get there before we leave come hell or high water as my Mother used to say...it is only a short walk past 3 houses and we are at the path...today a neighbor is coming over and sitting on the porch with me to pack stuff...still a lot to do but feeling productive today....already 80 the realtor in CT keeps sending us listings...a couple were so interesting that we had our daughters go check them out for us....they won't work...well we will see what is there when we get there....
7/9/20
Morning Kitty. The beach must be a ways away if you need bicycles to go there. If it were close I would think you could go every morning before it gets hot.
It would be difficult to look at homes for someone else but your daughter is trying.
A large storm front came through here in the evening yesterday but missed us. I went back outside and did more digging. The two drainage ditches are about done. One is about 200 feet long and the other connects into it, is about 50 feet long. I might have to work on parts of them after I start putting the gravel and drain pipes in them.
Brandy and I are still walking our 6 miles in the morning with two steep hills. One of the streams on our route is dried up but the other is still running. Brandy likes to wade in the water and cool down. We are usually back before 9 AM.
I have a rain gutter joint leaking badly, got a can of flex seal yesterday but needs 24 hours to dry. Maybe get that done today.
Have a great day, hope the packing is almost completed.
Ernie
