Excellent news, I hope the surgery was successful in removing all of the tumor and your GD is now in remission.  It's an uphill battle.  She will need all the support of her loving friends and family.  You also need love and support which you will find in mountains here.  Our continued prayers for you and your family.    Pin on Sympathy

Dear Kitty,

Sorry to see your posting.  I know that we have talked via telephone.  Sorry, I have not been on the Forum for a week or so ~ life often gets in the way.  Had a bit of a scare with something called "vertigo".  simple as small crystals in one's ear canals?    A trip via ambulance to the nearest hospital and all good.  Will see an ENT this week and hopefully get some tips on repositioning.

I see that your granddaughter has had surgery and that is a blessing that they have done this so soon.  Hopefully, it will be benign and no further treatment will be necessary.

Thinking of you.  Please don't quit our Forum.  I still think of you as my mentor........

((hugs))  Susan

Congratulations, Paul, on your 4th month of being a non-smoker.  Can you only imagine how happy your lungs are to breath in fresh air and not nicotine!

I believe I told you that I could almost immediately "smell" the earth and flowers.  So much better!

A wet, soggy week here in Ohio.  The green grass looks like pictures I have seen of Ireland.  The HOA is doing their mowing despite the wet grass.  I just shake my head in dismay.

Carry on... One day at a time.  Always aware that just ONE ciggie, can make you buy a pack.  Always post a HELP here....anywhere on the website.  I did that once as I was going to walk out the door.....I spend half a day responding to all and the urge did pass.

Hi Denim,

Nice to see you posting to all ~  Been away a bit......my computer may be slowly feeling it's age...lol...just like me.  I am afraid to tell my son-in-law who is a "coder" because he will surely laugh at the laptop's age and order me a new one.  Well, maybe that won't be so bad.

A bit of a scare with vertigo... Oh my.....

Left the area to visit Jim's daughter in Bexley, Ohio.  I noticed the lilacs, dogwoods and azaleas were in full bloom down there.  Here.....not so much.

Carry on.....great to be able to smell the dirt and the hyacinths..

Hi Ernie,

I think you may be away for a while....on vacation or am I just getting too old to remember things.

A bit of a scare with Vertigo.....but so far nothing since that one day.  Plan to see a ENT this week.....and there are techniques to dislodge the tiny crystals in your ear.  Who knew.   I will only tell you that it was at Jim's insistence and the spinning that made me ride in the ambulance.  They must see enough patients because the EMT gentlemen had me diagnosed by the first five minutes........

Hopefully all is well.  We will all keep Miss Kitty's grandson's wife in our prayers.

Dear Kitty,

I have read that she had surgery!  I will continue to pray for her healing.

I see a ENT this coming week. The ER Doc said often sinusitis can affect the ears and I have been given exercises to do for the crystals. Only the one episode that left me spinning….. lol

I will soon be going to Islamorado with my daughter, SIL and granddaughter. Have you ever been there?

Thank you, Susan.

I hope you get good news from your ENT.

I imagine my sense of smell didn't improve as much as most as I think it was always bad :) As a teenager I had good eyesight, it was measured frequently for baseball, and I had 20/10. My hearing was poor when it was measured in kindergarten and anytime afterwards.

I don't think there was any measurement for smell, but I remember not smelling things that friends or family would smell. I guess one sense makes up for another.

Rainy here, but not that bad.

Paul
