Yes, Ernie the nights have been hot here. I don't think I'll attend the fireworks this year. They are not enjoyable to dogs at all

Good morning Kitty, Paul, and all.  Warm morning at 68, probably should change into shorts for our walk.

We were up in Morrisville for the 4th, closest fireworks was a private one at a campground half mile away.

Don't think the pups noticed.  One got sick for a night and Carol stayed up most of the night.

I got the garden tractor going, several problems to track down and fix, besides a new battery.  We played

sequence for some hours, hot in there for us younger people.  Don't look forward to being cold when we

get older.  I was sweating and my father in law went and got a flannel shirt to wear.  They're lucky they burn

wood for heat, any other source would cost a fortune.

The pups were tied to a run outdoors a lot.  They wanted to get to the chickens, ducks, and turkeys but the

birds learned quickly to stay back.  They live next to the SUNY college horse farm, horses are very pretty.

Seaport is pretty Paul.

Cheese cake sounds great.  I resisted eating blueberry pie up north but had a few chocolate chip cookies.

Took Brandy's sister and their other dog for walks besides ours.  We unloaded a hay wagon into the loft of

their barn the keep all the birds in for bedding.  Been many decades since I handled that many hay bales.

Took some Fix a Flat to repair daughter's tractor tire when we got back.  Only light rain so mowed for a while

so the tire would seal up.  Grandson and I couldn't find the leak in the tire with a water hose last week.

Have a great day all.

Good morning to Kitty and everyone.  Humidity starts rising today before tomorrow mornings storms.

Just hot and humid today.  Did some of the lawn trim with the push mower yesterday morning, try to

finish it this morning before the days heat arrives.  Some ground bees found me at our electric pole.

Think they only got me once on the arm but my finger is swelled slightly, maybe got me through my

glove.  Maybe they leave the stinger in and thats why their stings hurt worse than other bees, and

longer.

I should get some other stuff done after the lawn today but haven't made plans.

Hope you all are doing well and have a great day today.

Ernie

Still finding bolts to finish installing shields on the Allis Chalmers I replaced the hydraulic drive on last

Summer and this Spring.  Someone cut and baled up the field this year to use for mulch so our tractor gets a break.

Good morning, everyone. It was a nice day in NY also.

Ernie, do you feel the stinger in your finger? If so, you should try to remove it.

Hi Sensational Senior Friends ~

Seem to have difficult posting of late.  I can put in the name but the message does not allow me to type.  Hm... perhaps the heat or a gremlin lurking on the Forum.

All is well here in Ohio.  Taking a short three year anniversary jaunt on Wednesday and overnight.  I will have a pet sitter for Finn.   Then, in a week, we travel to a place called Hocking Hills in southern Ohio for a three day stint with Jim's family.  Not sure I'm looking forward to being in a large house with perhaps 14 people but will put a smile on my face and one foot forward.  Since my fracture and new knee, I doubt I will do much hiking in caves, etc.

If someone would post to me, I would be appreciative.  I'll see if I can post from that.  Hi to all ~ Kitty, Paul, Ernie.  Very hot day here by the Lake.  Susan

Good morning Paul, Susan, and all.  Not sure what you're talking about by the name Susan.  I click

on everything until I start typing a message, no name involved.  I'm using a pc though, not a phone,

if that's what you're doing.  I click on reply and it goes to login screen, click on login, click on all at the

top of the threads, click on sensational seniors, then I click on reply again on the post I want to reply to.

Then the box comes up and  start typing.

Don't think I've ever been inside of a cave, If I have it's slipped away from my memories.  Sorry your knee

isn't working at 100%.  When I complained to the foot doctor about not being able to jog anymore, he got

a little upset and told me many of his patients would be overjoyed to be able to walk a mile, let alone 5

miles every morning.  So I shut up and I actually thought about all those people and I sort of feel gifted now.

Cocoa dog got Cushings Disease and Diabetes the same year so we stopped jogging almost at the same time.

I'm sure you will be welcomed with open arms Susan, you're an exceptional person and they know they're

lucky to have you.  We have so little time left on this earth, glad you're using it.

Paul, if the finger was a sting, it's gone away.  The one in my arm still burning and itching.  I remember Cocoa's

mom got stung with ground bees multiple times once.  I should have coated her face with mud from the pond

but I didn't think of it.  I can only hope they don't affect dogs as much but their bodies are so similar to ours,

most likely it does.  I don't see any stinger but haven't looked under the microscope.  I've scratched it so much,

no stinger could've stayed in though.  It's still burning and itching this morn,  I put neosporin and some of my

daughter's natural oil on but only helps some.  Going to Agway and getting spray for them, fooled around last

year trying to block them off of the pool area, this year just want them dead.  They stung Brandy 6 days before

she had to die.  Today is one year since we lost Brandy.

I did finish the lawn trim with the push mower yesterday in two sessions, battery went dead.  Then mowed with

rider tractor.  I only do the banks and ditches with the push mower every other time I mow.  Think the grass has

slowed down growing now, for this season.  I'm lucky I have the pool to cool off in between lawn work.

I slept late because it was supposed to rain hard this morn but it didn't.  It's 69 anyway and the dogs don't like

walking when it's that warm.  I will take them across country for a short walk after the rain has passed around 7 am.

There's a path up the hill behind our house.

Have to go down to the farm later this week.  Brother says the abandoned home on lower part of the farm is burning

$100 more electric a month than the home they're living in.  We have to get the place ready to shut the power off and

get the main breakers shut off.  Must be the water pump in the well running constantly, all I can think of.  It's a little

dangerous having an appliance burning that much power, circuit is probably warm or even hot.  Someone could get

hurt, especially firemen.  He didn't tell me until I had fixed a couple things last week when I was there and had run low

on time.

Our cold front is supposed to come through today and cause storms this afternoon.

Hope you all have a great day.  Replied to you post for this message Susan.

Ernie
