Good morning Paul and all. 35 here, pretty good for March. Good morning for the dogs and I
to walk. Had to stop jogging again after 3-4 months, feet starting to hurt again. Was nice while
it lasted. Tried lots of things with elastic bandage, jogging socks, Brooks running and walking shoes.
Like the doc said, I'm lucky I can walk 5 miles, most of his patients can't.
I can't imagine living in the city, maybe for a short time. My eyes like to look out over the trees and
rolling hills.
Farm was busy but 3 weeks between visits that time. I had a list because of all the critical things I
needed to accomplish. After unloading the bike only rode about 45 minutes but left it there for a
couple more days of riding. Was more difficult to transport it than I thought it would be. I had an
exhaust valve sticking and causing back firing out the exhaust, it broke free and the engine started
running smoothly so don't have to disassemble the engine head. I put Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas
and the engine oil. It was amazing to ride on dad's farm again. My sister is coming back from wintering
with her son in Florida tomorrow so she will probably go up to farm and help sometimes now.
Cleared the leaves and pine needles off the pool cover yesterday and pumped the water off it. Was
starting to grow algae. Also, started disassembling the amplifier that stopped working right in ham radio
station. Think it's the main relay so just replacing that. the 3000 volt transformer is very heavy, makes it
hard just to move it and get the cover off.
Have a great day all, Spring is springing.

Good morning, to everyone!
Here’s our weather report. Partly cloudy (total gray sky) and 37 degrees. A River Flood Warning in effect for tomorrow.
Feel like I’ve been away from the Forum for a day or so…. Seems like everyone is o.k. after reading your posts and we are moving into April.
Sorry about your foot problems, Ernie. You are blessed to have walked the distance that you do. I need to put on my Fitbit and keep track of how many steps I do per day. I was averaging over 5000 which probably isn’t all that great.
Blood work yesterday, all fine which is good to know. That’s a yearly task prior to the physical.
Waking up now. Soon, a walk for Finn. Perhaps Stations of the Cross tonight. No big plans for the weekend. Susan

Good morning Susan and all. 30 here now so pretty good and the snow, sleet, rain don't start until 6.
Dogs and I should be done with our walk and back in the house. Will be great they can get exercise
before the storm. I have the elliptical but don't have a substitute for them. I'm glad we're moving into
Spring but really starting to think about climate change. California is getting pounded, think it won't be
so long before it's much more than an inconvenience for us in the northeast. Tornadoes in Cali, that's so
strange. After all they've been through.
I had one of those units that counts steps and we had a competition between teams at work. Our team won.
They were going to do it every year but I was tired of it after one year. Lot of corruption in our work place. The
captain of our fitness team retired suddenly and moved south without a word, something happened there. Usually
about a 90 day lead time, a retirement party, and such. Was a very pretty lady, our captain. At least you're getting
some steps in Susan, keeps away many aliments. I can't remember what my counts were, was before retirement
and been almost 6 years since retirement. I still have that step counter hanging down by my ham radio station.
I get blood work every 6 months forever but this time I called in and postponed all my appointments, kept getting
notices I could move my appointments forward because of a cancellation, got tired of it. Makes me think they're a
money making machine and not really concerned about anyone's health. They stopped doing physicals, guess they
see me so much they expect me to say something about any problems.
Working on radio frequency amplifier. Found some problems with an interconnecting cable which is great news. Much
easier to fix than an internal problem in the amp. Very fine wiring in the cable connectors but still easier to repair. Did
have to remove the amp from the station, get the cover off, and start troubleshooting before found the cable problem.
Our sister flying back from Florida today. Hope her trip is pleasant.
Have a great day all.

Yes, walking and water is good for many things. Sleep and keeping your mind active also.
I'm headed to a wedding today. 12:30 so reception will be over by 5:30. Hopefully the rain is not as bad as the forecast.

Hi Ernie,
Laughing…your posting says 3:00 a.m. Up a bit early? Well, the early bird gets the worm, or so they say.
A balmy morning here. 51 degrees. Thunderstorms possible, gusty winds and small hail predicted. I may agree with you about climate change. Our winters are not what they once were ~ much milder with little snow. So many cloudy days.
Not much happening this week-end. My granddaughter came home from college for Spring Break so I may see her on Monday.
Enjoy the week-end.

Hi Paul,
Enjoy the wedding today. I hope it is a sunny day for the bride and groom.
Not much happening here in Avon Lake this week-end but I will take a quiet one….. Easter decor has replaced St. Patrick’s Day so we move on into April.

Hi Miss Kitty,
I hope this is YOU. I haven’t seen you post for a while and wanted to see how you are doing.
How are things in your neck of the woods? I wonder if you are seeing any signs of spring?
We are still wet and soggy in Avon Lake ~ so many cloudy days. I think everyone will be so ready for sunshine and Spring!
Let us know how you are doing. ((hugs)). Susan

Spring? we are having sleet today! but the daffodils have buds so there is hope.....hope all is well .....all is okay here since I quit the demon cigs I am more aware of "butts" on the pavement on the way into stores....yuck stay smoke free my friends
Mar-25
Hi Miss Kitty,
Nice to hear from you and that you are doing well.
Sleet? Oh my! It’s quite warm here and the sun is peeking through the clouds.
Grocery store today (amidst all of the working peeps) but we are out of coffee and yogurt.
Yes, I too am aware of ciggie butts around the neighborhood. We have one girl (a smoker) who must smoke and walk her dog at the same time. Ugh.
Wish we had quit way earlier than we did…but it’s never too late for those who are willing to commit to a far better way of life!

Good morning Kitty, Susan, Paul, and everyone. You are correct Susan, I'm having trouble with sleeping in
one block. I do sleep some later on to try to make up for it. If I'm having any trouble sleeping and make the
slightest noise, the dogs come pouring down the hallway, barking, growling, and their wagging tails hitting
the walls. So that doesn't help getting back to sleep. I don't blame them for celebrating everything in life, their
lives are so short, never even to reach 15 years.
I'm a little concerned about climate change for our grands and their kids. Disasters in the northeast won't be in
my lifetime or our kids lifetimes, I don't think but will get here. California is almost like a war zone, hope it settles
down for a while so the people can enjoy life.
Nice to see your granddaughter during the break Susan. I have many good memories of days spent with my
granddaughter while she was growing up. My granddaughter skipped this semester while she gets time in at a
company that has tuition reimbursement, guess she doesn't like me paying her tuition. I was keeping track and
tried to pay tuition and books. She's also wrapped up in her sick dog, work, and her marriage.
Weddings are nice Paul. I get many more funerals than weddings at my age. Prefer weddings. We got rain most
of the day and was cloudy and windy when it wasn't raining. My mind is to active trying to figure out these relays
and other circuits and why I can't get everything working the way it's supposed to. Guess eventually I will. It doesn't
sound like we have the 35 mph winds they forecast for this morn so dogs and I will probably get our walk.
Hi Kitty, very happy to not be smoking. So far into the past it's hard to imagine being in that world. Coming up on 16
years since 2007. Same age as my Subaru Baja. Still remember doing battle every minute of every day when we first
got started down this path. Glad it doesn't stay that difficult as time goes on. Everything lined up that last time quit. My
granddaughter reminding me, images of my mom suffering the effects of smoking and dying at 61 years old, this forum,
and my own symptoms of damage to my body. Tried to quit many times previous to this one.
A nice weather day here today, mostly sunny and in the 50s. Hope you all have a great day.
Ernie
