Good morning Susan and Paul, and all.  53 here this morn.  Things went ok on the farm, better than I thought

they would.  Some relatives on my sister in law's side did the mowing and dug the grave before I got there.  They

wanted the credit, I guess.  Fine with me, I have plenty to do.  Supposed to drop out of the high 80s down to 76

Saturday when they're having the funeral, glad of that.

Left the air on low when I left yesterday morning so was ok when got back.  We've been using air for a while now.

I wake up a lot after a day of drinking caffeine but got back to sleep each time, this time.  I guess you are still in Mass

Susan, don't know.

Glad you're doing well, hope Kitty's treatment plan isn't to bad and works well.

Good morning all.  59 here this morn, warmest morning yet.  Supposed to cool down after today.

Must be really hot in the city, probably waiting for the cool down.

Drained the transmission gear oil and replaced it in the bike yesterday.  Long overdue.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Paul,

Seventeen days without rain here in Avon Lake.  Wondering what my water bill will be??   I am watering my annuals and perennials daily……

Will be leaving tomorrow for Bexley, a suburb of Columbus, to attend Jim’s granddaughter’s graduation party.  First time using an agency to come into my home and stay with Finn.  I did interview her prior…..hopefully, this will work out.

Enjoy the week-end.  Susan

Hi Ernie,

Will be leaving tomorrow to attend Jim’s granddaughter’s graduation party.  It’s about a 2-1/2 hour trip from here.  Hope Finn is okay with a dog sitting service I have hired.  Hindsight……I should have just boarded him for a day.  Cleaning now…….for this girl to come stay.  LOL

Enjoy the week-end.  No rain for seventeen days.  The local weather gal said this is more typical in the Fall…and not early summer.  Wondering what my water bill will look like!

Enjoy Bexley, Susan. It was hot yesterday but cooled down today. It has been a very nice May, but we must need rain also. Our reservoirs are 150 miles away, so I guess we need rain there.

My understanding is the COVID strains keep getting weaker, so hopefully you continue to feel fine, Kitty.

Hi Paul,

I have turned on the air conditioning, mostly for Finn. We have chosen a new electric and gas supplier. Bills with the other are to double $$$.

Enjoy the weekend. Finn’s dog sitter coming soon. He senses that we are leaving

Good morning all.  Hope the trip is good Susan, and Finn enjoys his time, probably better than leaving home.

We reached around 79-80 Saturday so about 9 degrees cooler than Friday.  This coming week is all cooler.

Our utility bill will go up with the pool pump running 8 hours a day and the AC running lots.  Was our driest

May on record.  Supposed to get showers some days this coming week but won't be much if get any at all.

I made it to the farm and funeral.  Lucky I swung by the farm and checked on my brother.  He thought he had

set up a ride but didn't.  He had gotten his eye shots Friday and couldn't see to drive.  We were both a few minutes

late but better than him not making it.

Got the mower blades sharpened, lubed the mandrel pulleys,  and found a spring had come off along with belt

off a pulley.  Was just barely working.  Mowed the front lawn to test it, didn't need it yet but probably won't be

down there this week.

Hope Kitty does ok.

Have a good day all.

Hi Ernie,

Another picture perfect day except for no rain…maybe counting now on Day 19.

We enjoyed our trip to Bexley that takes about 2-1/2 to 3 hours one way depending on how many stops we manage along the way.  The party was nice.  Five girl graduates all friends of his Granddaughter decided to have a joint party for the family and friends.  I’m guessing approximately two hundred guests, 2 food trucks, alcohol served, probably the expense of what a small wedding would cost each parent.  Apparently the latest in this suburb is for parents to buy golf carts so that their children can drive to and from school/Starbucks or generally drive around and be seen.  I just shake my head back and forth at some of this nonsense.   Entitled children, to say the least. Of course, I smile and be polite.  My mode of transportation as a teenager, was my bicycle.  One family car that I really was not permitted to drive;  Another generation….another entirely different way of growing up and now I sound “ancient”.

Enough said……..

I went to Lowe’s this a.m. and bought some fungicide for my hollyhocks.  I just love them but every year I seem to have a “rust fungus.  Watered the front walkway and will use sprinkling cans in their back.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

Susan
