Good morning Paul and all.  Another 90 degree day today, cool day for some southern states but a heat

advisory here.  I'm glad to not need a lot of clothing to walk the dogs like I will soon.  Starting the 11th

we're supposed to be in below average temps.

I should ask daughter over with grands today, to swim.  After today have lightning storms every day until

it cools down.

Worked on SS some yesterday.  Got some brass fittings at Home Depot to install the temperature sensor

in a T, then installed the T into the short piece of hose routing transmission oil into it's cooler coils.  Ready

to have the gauge connected.   Tucked some more wires into covers.  Was very hot out there so didn't get

lots done.  The company in California didn't have gaskets made up for my kit last Friday so the kit still hadn't

shipped yesterday, so will be a while waiting.  I still have more work to do to install the new pressure and

temperature gauges.

Found the problem with my bike but couldn't find a good deal on the ring gear I need.  Ordered a complete

used wheel with a new tire on it.  Hope the ring gear is in at least average shape.  If not, took a chance and

still have the new mounted tire.  Just will still have to order a new ring gear for about the same price.  That

wasn't to far away, should be here by the weekend.

I saw Kitty on Facebook so still punching the keys.

Hope you're all doing good and staying cool.

GM Ernie,

This seems like the last hot patch for the year.

Enjoy the day everyone,

Do you promise….. because I am so looking forward to the end of these hot and humid days.  We leave for Colorado next week, so I am praying for cooler weather.

Hi Ernie,

I feel so sad for the birds and chipmunks who visit my bird feeder.  I found an old tin pie plate in the garage and filled it its cool water.  It didn’t take long before the small birds were drinking and splashing in it.  Made my heart happy.  So hot ehre

How is Belle?

Good morning Susan, Paul, and all.  65, another warm morning but the cold front is supposed to come through

today with storms, around evening.  So will be very humid today.

Belle seems to be improving but still getting blood smudges on the blanket she lies on.  So back for more tests

Thursday, today.  More blood tests then maybe more xrays to make sure she didn't get something in her throat

or sinuses.

Today is the day Princess, Cocoa's mom, died in 2015.  Miss her and still love her today.  She was such a loving

being.

Granddaughter didn't get into the Excelsior tuition program yet so another tuition payment goes out.  Glad she's

back in college but wish she had applied in the program long ago, applications open since May.

Parts came for bike so switched over to work on it for our last 90 degree day, though today is 88 and humid.  It's

all the parts I need and is almost ready for a test run.

Still working on getting transmission pressure and temperature gauges into the SS.  Thinking about an override

switch and an indicator light for the cooling fan.

Belle turns around about a half hour early on our walks but seems to love them.

Colorado sounds great Susan.  Rode through there on a bike about 18 years ago, was pretty.  Didn't have the time

to stop and look around.

Enjoy the day all.  I get into the pool every day to enjoy the end of Summer.

Stay cool kids. Enjoy Colorado, Susan. I've never been there.

Headed to my office.

Good morning Paul and all.  Not going to work this morn.  Rain today and for the next few days but doesn't look

like our walk is washed out.  Storms arrived here at 4:30 last eve.

Finished putting bike back together and it test drove good.  Except for a gas leak, so took the float bowl off the

#4 carburetor and adjusted the float a little.  Slowed leak down but didn't stop.  Have to put a fitting in them

in the bowl drains with a flex tube to see where the level is.

Belle went in for another blood test, get the results today.  She seems improved but still not well.

Have a great day all.

Morning all.  Belle seems to be improving but don't get results of new tests until Monday.

Got the Bow Tie kit from CA, partly installed, still don't know if it will work.  Hoping.  Got

the sensor installed for the pressure gauge and harness routed up to center console.  Have

to have that gauge active when the new transmission is run so doesn't get burned up.

Have a good chance of rain for next 5 days, was lucky yesterday, no rain until after dark.

Glad I got the lawn mowed before another rainy period.

Enjoy the day and weekend all.

I'm glad Belle seems to be better, Ernie. Hope for the best.

I was in a friend's bar last night. Two German Shepherd mixes (I think) were inside. Well behaved, each had a bowl of water. Not sure that is allowed, but nobody complained.

Still humid here.

Good morning Paul and all.  63 here this morn and looks like the rain will hold off until 9, so we

get to walk.  After 9, looks like rain most of the day.  Will try to fit some work between the rain

showers.

Got the new geometry installed and adjusted for the most part on the SS.  It's not perfect and some

parts don't fit at all.  I didn't see how they were going to do it short of magic but they're the only show

in town for my pro flo 1 fuel injection system.  Glad I didn't buy a transmission from them, don't deliver

what they promise.  So starting to wrap up many details surrounding the main problem.  Should be finished

sometime soon unless more unforeseen problems.  I will be glad to be monitoring the transmission pressure

and temperature from now on.  Wife and I need a vacation.  smile  Between these projects, the dogs being sick,

granddaughters college problems, and one of our daughters having problems, we are drained.

I haven't been in a bar for a long time but dogs are accepted more and more, notice because I'm one of the

humans that love them, right up there with human children.

Speaking of vacations, Susan must be gone to Colorado or getting ready.  Safe and happy I hope.

We didn't get Belle's test results until Monday, not sure why.  She is much happier and seems much better.  Was

concerned we would never see that again and still can't relax to much.

Much cooler days but now rain.  Think still heat waves across the country.  Supposed to be above average temps

here second half of September but that might not be that high.

Enjoy the day, glad to be fairly healthy and going along.

Ernie
