Good morning Susan, Paul, and all.  Good luck on the vacation Susan.  We could use one.  With the TV

burning up, SS transmission burning up, paying granddaughter's tuition, and helping our separated

daughter, not much more money to spend this year even if we didn't have these rowdy dogs.  Our one

daughter shows 1/3 of her brain is a dark shadow on a MRI since her stroke, doesn't always say the right

thing for the situation.  And I still feel sorry for myself sometimes.

I finished the gauge wiring and installed the radiator on the SS.  Just have to get the transmission oil pan

torqued on with the shifter linkage mounted on it's side, then start filling the transmission with it's 11

quarts of fluid and break in with the rear wheel of the ground.  Hard to believe it's finally here.  Glad I

have the pressure gauge so I'm monitoring the inside of the trans.  Was so in the dark before.

Grandkids and daughter came over yesterday afternoon.  Had a birthday party for wife and used the pool

for maybe last warm day of the year.

We plan on a trip to wife's parents while I can stay outdoors with our dogs most of the day, weather wise.

They moved a prefab garage away from the road back in the back of the house yesterday.  Sure looked

out of place where it was.  I wondered how they got a permit to do that, glad it's moved.

Have a great day all.  We're getting rained out on our walk this morn but I will take the dogs up on the mountain

later this morn after it stops.

Good morning Paul and all.  Susan gone to Colorado, hope a good time.  Cooler morn here at 50.

The Monte Carlo SS is back on the ground and seems all good.  Some of the pressures seem out

of whack to me but first I ever had a trans pressure gauge.  Very happy it's all working, SS missed

the who;e Summer but still have the Fall and I've learned lots.

Belle seems good and her last Dr appt is today.  Was one irregularity in her last test and retesting

to double check.  All the other irregularities is back right.  So glad, was really worried we would never

get her back, so was wife and Chloe.  Days are cooler now and most likely won't get hot again, we're

supposed to get 5 days without rain.

Have a great day.

Yes, Ernie, we are done with the heat until next year. Hopefully it stays nice for a while. Did the vet say what Belle had, some type of virus?

A few people I work with tested positive for COVID. Relatively minor for both.

Enjoy the day all,

Paul

Good morning Paul and all.  44, much cooler morn.  Don't think the vet ever really knew the problem,

except for gastritis in her stomach which might have been caused by the antibiotics.  Have had to feed

them nonfat hamburger mixed with rice or chicken mixed with rice and that's about it for weeks.  Have

been mixing dry dog food more and more lately.  Wife has been taking them lately.  After about $700 I

wasn't sure about taking her anymore.  Huge shortage of veterinarians, not taking any new clients at the

clinic we've been using since the 80s.

Built a sloped mount for my gauges in the SS, difficult and a little dangerous for me on a table saw.  Was

going to paint it black but like the tree rings for now.  Have a misfire somewhere in the engine but had

that before it broke down.  Gotta remember to make an inspection appt.

Hope all is going well with your part time job and the red cross volunteering.  Also your quit, always thinking

everyone here has been quit for many years.  Kitty and I coming up on 17 years.  We were both on the Chantix

thread back in 2007 forward.

All is well, Ernie. I like this weather.

I read an article about the veterinarian shortage. Lots of people got pets during COVID and vet school enrollment is down. The later I find surprising. A neice wanted to be one when she was younger but that's probably a common goal for children.

18 months for me. Cravings are mostly gone. I still carry an e-cig but rarely use it.

Enjoy the weekend everyone,

Paul

Good morning Paul and everyone.  46 here, little warmer than last couple mornings.  Supposed to

rain later today.  Belle seems to be doing great, still has that test result but should be good.

We went on a picnic at a lake near my old home town Friday, was nice.  Some joggers and walkers

came by but Chloe and Belle were better than before.  Traffic heavier than I thought it would be for

a weekday, guess in the Fall everyone trying to get activities in before the door slams shut on the weather,

just like us.  No people at the beach and the concession stand is closed for the season.

Does surprise me to get that message every time you call our pets clinic, that no new clients are accepted.

The clinic used to be in a house down town and was only one lady that owned it and ran it.  We used to stop

there and make payments to her.  Now days have to have the money when you go there.

Congrats on 8 months Paul.  Seems you are mostly out of trouble as long as you want to stay there.  We all

know to stay clear of any smoke when we are addicted.  I try to say something to the newly quit but my mindset

is far from there, coming up on 17 years.  So glad I'm not feeding the addition anymore.

I'm still wrapping up small problems on the bike and Chevy SS.  Leaks, adjustments, and such.  It's so nice to have

a strong transmission in the SS after 18 years of nursing the weak one along.  Looking back, it was more me not

getting gauges and learning more about it.

Love the Fall but don't look forward to Winter, keep hearing the long range forecast of a cold and snowy Winter.

Enjoy the day all.

We are home now after a fun filled week.  We stayed in Littleton, a suburb of Denver. Beautiful mountains and landscapes.  A lot of day road trips to the Mountains.  I will share as the week continues.  Tears as I left my eldest cousin, soon to be ninety years young.  Most likely the last time we will be together.  The trip to Red Rocks, CO was my most memorable. Finn did okay… just don’t like boarding him. Came home and spent a day in a panic mode.    (Finn… not me)

this is the view from their Condo!  Most beautiful!

Good morning Susan, Paul, and all.  44 here, a little warmer than past.  Love the crisp weather but drove the SS

down to the farm yesterday instead of the bike.  Will make some bike trips before Fall is over.  Just got the bike

fixed and back together.  Was hardened Orings in the fuel transfer tube between the carburetors, this bike is a

4 cylinder with 4 carburetors.  Farm was ok except brother losing all his money to scammers.  A scammer that

is a girl or more likely pretending to be a girl, has him sending it money he needs to live on.  I'm certain they have

artificial intelligence by now so a program could run 20 or 40, or more scams at once.  Each victim that falls for it

causes the machine to look for more.  It can fake being a young girl, guy, or older same, whatever will get the scam

going.

Saw pictures of your trip on facebook Susan.  Looked like pretty landscape.  I've only scraped through Colorado on

a bike.  Airline lost my luggage going out to California so I had to be in a hurry coming back east.  Glad you got to see

your cousin.  Haven't had a relationship with any cousins since we were little, many decades ago.  Some have died.

Glad Finn has you back.  Our pups were all over me when I got back from the farm and I walked them the same day

before I left.

We have today rain free, then many days with a chance of rain.  Happy I had rain free days to work on bike and car.

Your cousin can see scenery for many miles from home.  Can't see only about a mile from our home but we don't

get the wind that usually comes with the view.  Paul would not be able to see very far.  Glad you made the trip safely.

Have a great day all.

Greetings from very overcast Avon Lake.  A big WIN for Ohio State over Notre Dame last evening. Everyone here is a little sleepy from watching the late game. Does anyone follow college football?  Today, Mass and a Cleveland Browns game.

Carry On…. SMOKE FREE!  Susan
