Good morning Paul and everyone.  46 here, little warmer than last couple mornings.  Supposed to

rain later today.  Belle seems to be doing great, still has that test result but should be good.

We went on a picnic at a lake near my old home town Friday, was nice.  Some joggers and walkers

came by but Chloe and Belle were better than before.  Traffic heavier than I thought it would be for

a weekday, guess in the Fall everyone trying to get activities in before the door slams shut on the weather,

just like us.  No people at the beach and the concession stand is closed for the season.

Does surprise me to get that message every time you call our pets clinic, that no new clients are accepted.

The clinic used to be in a house down town and was only one lady that owned it and ran it.  We used to stop

there and make payments to her.  Now days have to have the money when you go there.

Congrats on 8 months Paul.  Seems you are mostly out of trouble as long as you want to stay there.  We all

know to stay clear of any smoke when we are addicted.  I try to say something to the newly quit but my mindset

is far from there, coming up on 17 years.  So glad I'm not feeding the addition anymore.

I'm still wrapping up small problems on the bike and Chevy SS.  Leaks, adjustments, and such.  It's so nice to have

a strong transmission in the SS after 18 years of nursing the weak one along.  Looking back, it was more me not

getting gauges and learning more about it.

Love the Fall but don't look forward to Winter, keep hearing the long range forecast of a cold and snowy Winter.

Enjoy the day all.

We are home now after a fun filled week.  We stayed in Littleton, a suburb of Denver. Beautiful mountains and landscapes.  A lot of day road trips to the Mountains.  I will share as the week continues.  Tears as I left my eldest cousin, soon to be ninety years young.  Most likely the last time we will be together.  The trip to Red Rocks, CO was my most memorable. Finn did okay… just don’t like boarding him. Came home and spent a day in a panic mode.    (Finn… not me)

this is the view from their Condo!  Most beautiful!

Good morning Susan, Paul, and all.  44 here, a little warmer than past.  Love the crisp weather but drove the SS

down to the farm yesterday instead of the bike.  Will make some bike trips before Fall is over.  Just got the bike

fixed and back together.  Was hardened Orings in the fuel transfer tube between the carburetors, this bike is a

4 cylinder with 4 carburetors.  Farm was ok except brother losing all his money to scammers.  A scammer that

is a girl or more likely pretending to be a girl, has him sending it money he needs to live on.  I'm certain they have

artificial intelligence by now so a program could run 20 or 40, or more scams at once.  Each victim that falls for it

causes the machine to look for more.  It can fake being a young girl, guy, or older same, whatever will get the scam

going.

Saw pictures of your trip on facebook Susan.  Looked like pretty landscape.  I've only scraped through Colorado on

a bike.  Airline lost my luggage going out to California so I had to be in a hurry coming back east.  Glad you got to see

your cousin.  Haven't had a relationship with any cousins since we were little, many decades ago.  Some have died.

Glad Finn has you back.  Our pups were all over me when I got back from the farm and I walked them the same day

before I left.

We have today rain free, then many days with a chance of rain.  Happy I had rain free days to work on bike and car.

Your cousin can see scenery for many miles from home.  Can't see only about a mile from our home but we don't

get the wind that usually comes with the view.  Paul would not be able to see very far.  Glad you made the trip safely.

Have a great day all.

Greetings from very overcast Avon Lake.  A big WIN for Ohio State over Notre Dame last evening. Everyone here is a little sleepy from watching the late game. Does anyone follow college football?  Today, Mass and a Cleveland Browns game.

Carry On…. SMOKE FREE!  Susan

Hi Susan. I don't follow college. I'll watch it if it's on, but not very interested.

I did the Tunnel to Towers run this morning. The last two years it was perfect weather. Today I was soaked standing for an hour plus in the rain before the start. But for a good cause.  And the ribs, burgers, and dogs afterwards were good. And yes, I had each at 10:30AM.

Be well everyone,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Good for you!  Running in the rain, eating food in the morning…. Being a worthy volunteer.  You are a good man, Charlie Brown!  I just admire that as a former smoker, you can be an active runner!

Perhaps football, especially college, is a favorite Midwest past time.  My late husband attended OSU and I have always looked forward to Fall and their games!

I guess a trip to Costco for scallops are in the plans.

Hi Ernie,

A gray overcast sky and cool temperature.  Hoped we may have done our once a year golf game, but it’s not a golf day!

Guess it’s a football kind of weekend. Ohio State and now the Cleveland Browns.

Finn enjoying being home. He spends most of the day sleeping.  I take him for a walk three times a day!

So sad about scammers and people being preyed upon.

Good morning Susan, Paul, and all.  Raining here this morn, looks like we're washed out for our walk and I woke

early.  Only sports I ever watch are mainly auto racing, motorcycle racing, and maybe some horse racing.  I've played

miniature golf but never the long haul game.  I jogged for around 16 years after the turn of the century but not at any

speed since Army training, then we went out every other morning and ran in formation, and practiced drill and ceramony

every other morning.  Our first sergeant had a hugh family and had one of those VW vans of the 70s.  He's the one that

led the jogging and drill practice.  Great you do volunteer work Paul.

Glad you are enjoying time with Finn Susan.  I enjoy the time with our Chloe and Belle.  I miss our pups from the past

terribly, especially Cocoa and Brandy.  We just had another raid here on a rescue shelter that was treating animals badly.

They had to wait a couple weeks for better proof to go in, so couldn't go in in early September after the original complaint.

Scammers were bad enough before they had artificial inelegance, now a machine can come up with the most profitable

response in milliseconds.  Machine would have to delay it's response time in order to be believable.  Would be able to pick

up the phone and place a voice call at any time and can learn with each voice or texting conversation what's best to say to

get the best response from the victim.  With each victim it keeps learning and doing it's task better and can juggle many victims

faster than a person could imagine.  My sister thinks the many pictures prove it's a real person but it doesn't.  They can get

hundreds of still pictures from a video or hack into someones storage in the cloud.  If they want they can use the same pictures

over and over for endless number of victims.  My brother said fake wedding vows with the fake girl, just a person or program

that knows this is the best way for a victim to give up everything it owns.  Some day society will have a solution to stop it.

Monte Carlo SS worked well on it's maiden trip down south to the farm.  Think the fins in the transmission cooler are much

hotter than the oil inside it.  I have the gauge sensor in the oil but the fan sensor is in the fins of the cooler coils.  When I have

the fan set to come on at 130 degrees, it comes on when the oil is in the 90 degree area.  Hard to put the fan sensor in the oil,

it would restrict the flow of oil unless I put another T in the line and routed oil out into a short piece of hose.  Lot of pressure in

these lines, every route is another potential leak.  200 to 300 PSI at maximum. ... Love having a good transmission and also the

stereo I installed before I lost the transmission.  Think I finished the stereo after the trans went out.  Fixed some other small

problems in the car also.

I'm sure Finn loves these walks with you Susan, he would be very happy to have you back.

Volunteer 5k's much easier with clear lungs.

Have a great day all.  Think after some scattered showers we have about 7 days rain free forecast.  Have had rain and clouds for

2 days.

Good morning, Susan, Ernie, and all.

A shame about your brother, Ernie. There is generally nothing law enforcement can do. The servers and scammers are overseas. Other than the FBI, no city has the resources to investigate. I guess you and your sister can go to court to declare him incompetent to manage his affairs, but I imagine that takes a while.  Or you could cut his internet cable.

In the past, I would get many fake credit card applications made in my name. The banks were pretty good at detecting them, but it was still a pain. I put freezes on my account at the 3 credit agencies and that stopped. Nobody can apply for credit in my name unless I unfreeze it.

I came down with a sore throat and cold. Maybe from standing in the rain.

Enjoy the day,

Paul
