I heard the good news from Marge that you are taking over the forum, That is great - I do not think I could do that.

I am doing pretty well - just passed 6 years smoke free.. Sadly do have emphysema and now being worked up for a 1.6 nodular opacity.

I was in RI what I got this and could not open the forum on my ipad mini.. Got home a couple hours ago.

Hi Sue, 

I'm so sorry that I didn't answer sooner. The last few days of March my husband had another health issue. This time with his legs and by the end of that week, April 1, it had gotten worse and he needed to go to the hospital. He's home but still having trouble with it and having to see Primary and a specialist. He's still having difficulty getting about at the moment. The good news though is that at first they thought a blood clot might have been involved but test showed that wasn't so and we're both extremely thankful for that.   

Thank you so much for sweet words of support concerning the forum. It's greatly appreciated. 

Huge congratulations on 6+ years. That's really wonderful Sue. My group have just celebrated 4 years in March. Don't think we would have without the support we found here. 

I do remember about the emphysema from when you and I used to talk, play games together, and when the COPD thread was still being used on the forum. I'm so sorry to hear about the nodular opacity. Thinking of you and sending good thoughts and wishes for the best possible results on your test. 

A few new issues with me but I'm doing and grateful for that. Thank you so much for asking. Counting Blessings where we find them. Speaking of that, I hope you and your family had a good holiday weekend. 

It's rainy and cooler today. The weather is still in the up and down phase I guess. I can't complain though, as some parts of the country are still getting snow today.

Hi Dernim,

Sorry your husband has been having a problem with his leg. Hope it is soon resolved.

I had a chest CT and everything the radiologist was seeing was result of the Pleurodesis surgery they had to do after the 3rd lung collapse. CT was done by hospital who did the surgery and previous ct scans and my pulmonary doc is there also. Guess that surgery will always give problems from what I hear.

I had a quiet Easter - just me and Skippy.. We are preparing for a snow storm tomorrow - had snow showers and squalls yesterday also. Tonight and tomorrow will be 3-5" of wet snow . Hope you do not get too much snow.

I'm sorry you're still having to go through so much with it. I'm glad that it was able to be checked at the same hospital though. Thank you for keeping in touch and letting me know how you're doing. Still wishing the best for you.

We didn't get the snow just rain and the cold temperatures tonight. I hope the snows stop your way soon.
