Hey Marilyn,

Thank you SO much! I'm so happy to hear from you. I know many of my responses have been a bit late the last few weeks and I apologize for that. There's been a lot going on and I've not been feeling too good recently. The doctor gave me some medicine, so hopefully I'll get over it before too much longer. It's so great to see you, Brian, Gloria, Molly, Vic, and others back posting again. I'm so glad to have Cindi as a mod here too. Also, thank you so much for your multiple post on the forum in support of others. I remember how much the post from others further along helped us when we were struggling and how much it meant when they joined in our celebrations too. Thank you. It's greatly appreciated. I'm so glad you're going to continue that. We're happy to have you back. I hope you've been enjoying a wonderful, albeit hot, summer. Personally, I'm looking forward to autumn/fall. I love it when it's not too hot or too cold. How are the grandchildren doing? I can only imagine how much little miss Charlotte has grown. Didn't I read somewhere though that you're expecting a new little one to join the family soon? If I'm correct, huge congratulations on the newest addition too. That's great! You helped with my quit too and I still thank you, my other triplets (Cindi and Mike), Brian, Tom, and all of our '18 quit-buddies, and those further along that reached back to help (as you're doing for others now) and our wonderful forum mods. I love that we all helped each other here and that that's continuing. I don't want to cut this short but, as I said, I'm not feeling my best and I still have a few more quick post to make, so I'm going to do that but we'll talk again soon. Please keep in touch and I look forward to seeing you around the forum again more often. Hugs.

Have a great day. relaxed

Denim,

I had some very much needed 'Downtime" this morning and I think that I have now figured out how to navigate the forum again.  I have posted to some new and some old members and it feels good to just relax and communicate with others !  It feels good to provide the encouragement that I so desperately needed and received at the beginning  of our journey.  Many do not believe me when I explain to them that I found friends on this forum that I will never forget because my life was literally saved by this quit.  I hope you are feeling better now.  I am also looking forward to the Fall temperatures.  Yes, I do have a new granddaughter who is now three months old.  I will be caring for her in the foreseeable future.  Yes, Charlotte is a firecracker and will be four soon if you can believe that.  The two oldest start back to school next week.  I am happy to share with you that I have found a small place of my own that is close by.  I hope to make myself a home by the end of the year.

Take care of yourself and stay as cool as possible.  I will be floating around the forum as often as I can.

Hugs,

Marilyn

Hey Marilyn,

I'm so happy to have you back here and posting regularly again. That's terrific! It's also greatly appreciated. Thank you! I love hearing from you and I'm sure your words of support, inspiration, and encouragement are appreciated by others. It helped us so much when others further along did the same for us.

I think it's great that you're so close to the grandkids and spend so much time with them. Though I'm can't believe Charlotte is almost four now, it seems like yesterday. Children grow so fast. It's amazing.

I'm also glad to hear that you've found a place close by and that you'll be all settled in there in time for the holidays.

As much as I'm looking forward to the changing season, can you believe that next month is September? The years seem to move fast.

Thank you for your well wishes too. I'm improving, thankfully.

I'm so glad you're going to stay around the forum as often as you can. As I said, we're so happy to have you back here too. It's so great! I love that some of our other quit-buddies have posted recently also, although not as frequent. Hopefully they'll continue to do so though when or as they get a chance. I love hearing from them too.

Thanks again for continuing to post and encourage others, that's a big help on the forum and especially to those struggling as we did when we were starting out back then. Can you believe next year will be five years and we'll have to exchange those keys for wings in Feb./March? Amazing.

I've got to get this posted and do something but we'll talk again soon.

Have a great day. relaxed

Currently I am doing market research from home.  Basically when a company applies for a loan I research the company  to gather data for the loan officer.  I am also still doing a little uber and I am going to Arizona State in my Junior year for an IT Batchlers and Uber is paying the tuition.  I am only going as a part time student cause I am working full time.

Hey all. Just thought I should check in for the holidays. Still doing well from Oregon. I also quit smoking weed over a year ago, joined a gym and am exercising regularly along with golf, cooking, baking, and just living. Retirement right now is great except I have to do all the housework since my wife still works.

Cindi, I see that you are a moderator now. Nice that you are carrying on the message with the help of some older quitters. I hope work and Ohio are treating you well. Have a very merry holiday and we have to stay in touch when we can.

I didn't see Denims posts for November and wondering if she is still involved. I emailed her last week directly and haven't heard back. Hope she is well.

Marilyn, I haven't heard from you for a while and hope you are doing well in your new digs. How is retirement treating you. I also wish you a happy holiday. Please get back to me if you see this, I would love hearing from you.

Take care you all, stay strong and breathe deep. Isn't smoke free great??!!

Hey Brian!  Thanks for checking in...it's GREAT to see you!  Yes Denim is still the Forum owner...she's just been dealing with some personal things.  Actually I have too in that my dad passed away this week.  Mom is still not in the greatest health either so I get to deal with all these fun things that come along with this challenge.  It's been a pretty rough couple weeks (years). :(

Haven't seen Marilyn in a while so I hope she checks in soon too.  Glad you are enjoying your retirement and hope you have a great holiday season!  Don't be a stranger!
