I am back home from my trip. The train ride was really an awesome experience. 

We went to the casino in Cherokee NC and I was playing machines that I am familiar with(all of them in smoking areas). Every time someone sitting beside me smoking it really bothered me. That was surprising to me because I was concerned that being that close to smoking would make me want a cigarette. If anything, it made me glad I no longer smoke. The casino has a rather small non smoking area and I ended up playing there a large part of the time. 

I am ready to get to the Clubhouse. Seems like time is moving slowly the past month.

That's great you were able to go to the casino and not want to smoke.  I'm not there yet, in fact, the last month has been particularly hard- probably because this is my favorite time of the year and it's filled with a bunch of new triggers! 

But, we're almost there!!

Big Congrats on 11 months...Love the new star btw. Glad you enjoyed Cherokee casino. I went there when I retired to celebrate my retirement plus the trip happened to be on my birthday. I did not like the group/bus trip there: it took 6.5 hrs and we went into Tenn before we went to Cherokee. Cherokee is the nearest casino to me--about 2.5 hrs from where I live. I still plan to go to Vegas (on my bucket list!!) to celebrate my retirement and now to celebrate quitting smoking. I just don't want to go by myself: peeps are so bad. I may have to breakdown and go alone if I really want to go. I don't want to disappear in the desert never to be seen again...be an unsolved mystery!! I watch too many real life crime shows about serial killers and everything on ID channel.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to Cherokee. I am still holding out for Vegas now.

One more month...no more stars for you: your key awaits. Molly and I eagerly awaiting your arrival to the Clubhouse. Hope the month will not be too long for you. We got the light on for you.

Hey Dennis congrats man, time goes by quick. The site is so different now without the mods being on here, they jus post at the beginning of each month and then their gone, so i think its way harder for new people to make it.. I see a lot of new people sign up and then disappear, even people that have been helped from here dont really spend time talking to others on how to make it, its way different..

Hey Overdoz, glad to see your post. You are right about this site changing. I’m not getting email notifications anymore when someone posts to me. I checked my settings and they are right. Don’t know what is up with that. Also, every time I go to something else on my phone, the forum is logging me out. This all just started about three weeks ago. Have you been having problems like that?
