1 Month today!
Feeling good so far.

It is time to start cutting down on my eating though.  I have let it get out of control this last month.  I have gained 5 lbs despite putting more time in on the treadmill.  Apparently replacing cigarettes with ice cream sandwiches is not the right path. smile

I don't find myself craving a cigarette much but I do have this sense of malaise.  A feeling like something is missing.  It seems to be lessening as time goes on which is nice.

Happy Monday everyone. Only retired people generally say such a thing. grin

No smoking going on here.

On 1 Month Steve!

You said. "I don't find myself craving a cigarette much but I do have this sense of malaise.  A feeling like something is missing.  It seems to be lessening as time goes on which is nice. "

Steve, I guarantee you if you keep on this path of cessation it will lessen to a point where you will think of smoking as just something you used to do.

Thank you.  That's very encouraging.  In my previous attempts I would get to this point and some strange wave of self pity would derail me.  I feel a lot more in control this time.  I don't feel like I am "giving up" smoking, I feel like I am overcoming a disease.  So when I hear long time ex-smokers reinforce the notion that the eventually I will be able to live a normal life again its very encouraging.
