Freezing??? No way. Get in!!!!

Im way up the Coast and I will still get in without my wetsuit for a short time. Maybe only 15 minutes or so. But so amazing and worth it!!!

That water down there would feel like bath water compared to the Oregon Coast.
DO IT.

I will ask some friends from there. I’ve not been that far South in 20 years so I’m sure things change.

Honestly, my friends….I am so GRATEFUL I am not smoking anymore.  To be doing that on TOP of the current insanity that is pervading this country would be too much.  Some days it is too much.  The biggest deterrent is I do not want to make it worse by smoking.

Love your strategies, Eve.  My 2 smoking friends hand me their lighted cigs so I can take a big whiff.  Lol.  To echo you, Eve, this is Definately not for everyone but works for me.  I always ask if it is secondary smoke time?  Yes, kinda sick, but I do not pretend to have it all together.  Lol.

You are doing GREAT Dorly…hang on!!

Thanks Peg,

Whatever works for you, as long as you don't smoke. Personally I don't like the smell of smoke, only the nicotine hit...I'm hanging on, I have to.

I’m with you X. Never did like the smell of cigarettes very much. That was why I never smoked inside anywhere. Could only smoke in open air outside.  I have these memories of Dad driving with all of us in the station wagon (man, I’d love one of those now!) anyway, He’d be smoking a cigarette and had his window cracked this teeny tiny bit, and it surely did nothing. Plus, being the youngest, I was put in the way back. Am very prone to motion sickness. Inevitably, I would barf and all the other kids would complain about the smell of that joy. My Mom always made sure I had a bag. Seriously? Yeah. Bless their hearts, lol! I do know they meant me no harm. They just didn’t get it. My dad lived to 95, fit as a fiddle. Good genes I reckon. My Mom, she is the one that developed the smoking related illness, COPD and CHF and she NEVER smoked. She died at almost 89. But…my dad did also smoke a pipe. Ahhhh. But never in the car. In the house, yes. On the porch, yes. I loved the smell of that. Still do. Actually tried to quit smoking cigarettes once by taking up the pipe. That last about 2 days. Couldn’t get the hang of not inhaling.
So, the smell has to be extremely faint and just the tiniest waft on a breeze before it appeals to me even the very smallest amount. Could not stand anyone’s smokin wafting around me or in my face, including my own. So, yes. Definitely the nicotine.
Camp fire smoke, now, that’s an aroma I like. A lot.
Yeah. I’m hanging on with you. I too have to. I’d feel pretty disappointed in myself at this point to smoke I think. Not to say I’m not occasionally a bit tempted. Seriously is a powerful, potent, drug.
Im with Peggy and grateful for broken chains. It is the only thing in my life I ever let me control me like it did. If that was a guy that tried to exert that type of power and render me submissive, I wouldn’t let that last a day, much less how long I let the nicotine have the control. Go figure.
I think I’d rather barf than smoke.

When I came home after smoking a lot, I would take off my clothes and throw them in the wash, I could not stand the smell. Same thing with my fingers and my hair. I would wash it right away, chew a gum or brush my teeth after a smoke. How crazy is it to keep smoking when you want to erase the smell of it from everything it touched right away? That’s addiction par excellence.  It’s so sad that your mom died of second hand smoke. No one is to blame, the machine worked hard to keep people smoking. Someone told me the other day that back in the 60’s a doctor encouraged her aunt to smoke. He was also a smoker. Insane. I’m so much fitter and healthier right now, it really made a difference. I don’t want to go back there.

So my Ex has pictures of his mom in her hospital bed after delivering him, with an ashtray full of butts on the bedside table and her holding him, her newborn. She was kind of a small woman and the doctor told her when she was pregnant to keep smoking because he didn’t want the baby to gain too much weight and get to big for her to carry/ deliver. WHAT??? Yeah, she told me that. C.R.A.Z.Y. It’s morbidly fascinating really, the history of what was known/believed about smoking cigarettes.
We aren’t going back there. We are moving forward and as far as smoking, we are leaving nothing of any value behind.

Yep, wetsuit, bummer.  Maybe today.  We worked our tails off getting those trees cut down…dead ones and burning.  Plenty left.  I always like seeing the land open up after clearing. Nah leave wetsuit at home unless it can double as evening wear!  Lol!

Man I hear you about questions.  I never seem satisfied with the answers anyway so better to just BE.  Yes, loved the Harvest moon and the Hunters moon shud be fab……in Portugal.  Wow.

I got invited to Grand Funk Railroad next weekend.  GFR.  I will be brave. My bro went to Brooks and Dunn last night at same place in downtown Dallas.  He said no masks so it will probably be like that. Groan.

Pups are fabulous and Jackson is howling with the coyote at sunset…hilarious.  Wild boar, huh?  Yuck!  No hogs here yet.  Maybe the ranch owner hired out a team to take them out.  Yes, my neighbor said gas in Switzerland was over 7 a gallon but no doubt they drive those mini cars. 19 days alone.  Heaven.  My bro cannot come this weekend and I will say I am glad!!  Time alone.  Precious.

Love ya sista…Have a wonderful day!!!
