There was no time to play

There was no time for fun

There was no time for games

There was work to be done

She had to quit smoking

She had to quit quick

How would she do it?

Was Chantix the trick?

Her sister quit cold

Her mother did too

She’d flunked that one tho

So what should she do

The Dr. Was called The prescription was writ

All that was left

Was to do it, just quit

A forum she found

My God what a bunch

They said the right things She could eve eat lunch?

She had lots of urges

She cried all the time

But they all got thru it

One day at a time

She did it, it worked

At times it was hard

The nicotine thought that he held all the cards

She’ll thank them again

For the whole of last year

She’ll never forget them

They have become very dear

13 years later I visit now and then

I think I’ve moved on

And still can’t believe

She quit the bad habit

I’ve heard it said many times

If I can quit anyone can

Always disliked that phrase

But here I am say the exact same thing

IF I CAN QUIT THEN ANYONE CAN

55 yrs of smoking and 13 years clean..

July 7 is the time....but we are moving soon so it is a bit early
