Anthony,
So happy to see you get right back to your quit. I continue to wish you the best with it. Not trying to pry but I did read what you posted about your quit smoking counselor and what she said. I’m literally shaking my head. I have to agree with xvaper on that one. I’m glad to see she hasn’t discouraged you. The last thing we need when trying to quit is to have someone, especially someone whose supposed to be helping us, say some nonsense like that. Quitting, as we all know, is not easy but it is doable and I congratulate you on getting right back at it. One will stick and you can succeed. Kudos to you on your comment about proving her wrong. More importantly though, kudos to you for doing this for yourself. Quitting is not only a wonderful decision but one of the best ones we can make for ourselves and our wellbeing. Just so happy you didn’t take her comment to heart. Moving on..how’s it going today? How have you been? Did your surgery go okay earlier this year? I haven’t been on here for quite a bit. I’m sure I’ve missed a lot, including some of your beautiful pictures. There’s been a lot going on my way. Still some actually but I’m back and trying to catch up with the forum, quit buddies, and lend a hand where I can. I have to say though, I do miss people posting their dates and using the dots and stars over the past 2+ years. The option is still there, they just quit utilizing it, as you know. Too bad about that imo, because it not only helped us to help others but it helped them so much also. Speaking from experience having been on both sides of that coin. I think they’re missing that little bit of additional help/support that we had before by not utilizing it anymore, but then again that’s just my opinion and we all have one. Anyway, I apologize for getting off course a minute. Remember to take it minute by minute and stay in the moment. You can do this. We’re all here cheering you on. I’m going to make two more quick post then I have to log back out. Talk again soon. Have a great day.

I’m sorry this is a day late but huge congratulations on getting through that first tough week.
I wish you continued success as you move through week two and beyond.
Have a wonderful day.

Hi Denim,
Previously that quit smoking counsellor had been quite critical of my relapses, and I think she was trying to make amens for her previous behaviour, great to hear from you, I am plugging away at this quit in my third day at the moment I can cope with junkie thinking, I just tell the thoughts to go away. Whilst trying to keep busy. My latest challenge is to photograph all 100 beaches in our local government precinct, quite a challenge should take quite a while plus a lot of petrol and time, but I can be patient on this one
The surgery was a 100% success, I'm just taking time to heal, it has been three months now, I still have some pain when I exercise and walk with a slight limp but they will go away I hope with time.
I agree with you about the protocols that enable us to express our quit in different ways, I notice the mods are not here posting as much these days, Pity I value their expertise, having been through the trials and torments of quitting.
All is good here ,trust you also have a good day, and will write to you soon
Kind regards
Anthony

Love the graphics and celebration!!
I have reached the 5 day smoke-free mark and am looking forward to learning more about
how to beat and deal with cravings. I just keep telling myself, I would no sooner go put my
mouth on the tail pipe of my car so why put a cigarette in my mouth!!!
Also, I want to be here for my cat into his old age. If I do not stop now, I am 68 years old!!,
this is the time to get it right!!

Anthony
Good to see you still on here and still trying. This is so difficult with having someone smoking in the house!
I am actually on day 20 now and will hit my three weeks tomorrow night. It has taken around 1 1/2 years of non stop trying. We can do this, just keep trying till we get it right!

Thank you so much!
Withdrawal has been kicking my ass this time around, but I'm determined to quit once and for all.
Yesterday was tough but thankfully I had my girl on here to pull of off the ledge.
I really appreciate all the support, it s so important.

You can do it! You can be free :) I'm creeping up on 2 years free now and wanted to come back to this forum to express my gratitude for my freedom from the Nicodemon!!
