Denim Thank you for taking the time to give me all this advise. It's all very useful at a time when it's  needed. You've givin me such great choices and advice to cope with the Bad thoughts.   They are very compelling thoughts to be relentless. in there persuit of getting you back to the dark side of smoking. I'm trying many different ways to deal with the urges. Laugh it off-just say no-can't beleif I'm even thinking that. as of now I haven't come up with a comon saying for all times.  Alot of the bad times could be avoided if I would stop drinking and avoid the herb. The herb is a bad trigger in 1 way and then it removes some of the stress in another. So I'm plodding along waiting for the time when I'm hopeing it will all melt away.   AHHHHHHHHHH.   Thanks Denim your a big help.

Hey 48yrsmokin,

Congratulations you did it again! Yay You! Woohoo! Celebrating 7 weeks smoke free! I’m so happy for you! How’s it going? Thank you for your very kind words. I’m happy to help and to celebrate this with you. You’re not alone with your quit. I know you’re group has quieted down, as happens sometimes, but remember that the entire forum is here for you. relaxed A common saying for all times huh? A lot of the members have that one phrase, mantra, or quote that helps reinforce their quit. The thing about that is that so many are used because what lends inspiration to one may be different from what inspires another. However, while I can’t say which one will help you personally, I can share with you one of my picks. Oh, btw, yeah, some do use more than one but anyway, here was one of my favorite quotes to think about when those thoughts or situations occurred.
I hope this helps you too. I’m also going to post a couple of articles here for you. I hope they are a help to you too in some measure, if you would like to take a look at them. I continue to wish you the best and again, congratulations on your wonderful accomplishment. I hope you have a great day celebrating. It isn’t easy but you’re doing this and should be so proud of yourself and how far you’ve come. I hope you do something special for yourself to celebrate. You deserve it. Keep posting and keep going. You can do this!

Have a great day.

Hey Dipo,

I’m glad you didn’t give up. I’m sorry that I didn’t respond sooner. I wasn’t feeling too good and was off the forum for four days. I try not to be off too long at a time though. Congratulations on reaching six weeks smoke free last Thursday. I hope you celebrated your wonderful milestone and did something special for yourself. You’ll be celebrating seven weeks soon too and have so much to be proud of. I’m happy for you too. I’ve said it before but these milestones represent so much, not only because of how far you’ve come but because of what it takes to reach them but you did it and that’s a wonderful achievement! I look forward to celebrating week seven with you too. Please post again and let me know how you’re doing. You’re not alone with your quit here. I wish you the best and hope to hear from you again soon.

Have a great day.

Thanks Denim. I'm still on the wagon sort of. Had a few puffs of sitting ciggarette at a party a week ago. But haven't since and back on track. Telling myself not to give in again you know what happened last time  I let the dark side in. So back on the good thoughts. Been very busy getting things done before the real cold sets in. Seen some snow pellets yesterday while out working. But nothing more than a few lake affect bands of snow and drizzle in northern Indiana.  So I've been staying busy to out run the side effects of the QUIT.  So Thanks for watching out for me. Need someone to watch my 6. Cuz it seems like when things happen they just come out of the blue.    time to get at it. Projects waiting.    Later Ed G.
