Solid work and effort Lisa. You worked for and earned each one of those gold stars. Keep going. You are a queen.

Thanks, Lisa.

I'm glad to hear your lung scan was good. I need to schedule my own for September. My doctor moved, so I need to find another doctor first.

I still work. I was in banking for my years, but at a small software firm now.  4 days a week remotely. Thursday, I met some friends in Atlantic City. They had a few concerts on the water. Nice weather for it.

Enjoy the Labor Day weekend, all.

Paul

Today I have been a nonsmoker for 7 months (213 days).   relaxed

I did too much outside today and now I am off to watch a Dodger game and work on dishes on and off.  Tomorrow will be baseball watching with my son and we will have a cook out.  I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend.

Lisa,

We got back Saturday night from dropping our daughter. Would’ve been nice to hang out in Boston a couple extra nights, but we’ve been gone from home enough this summer, lol. If she’d wanted us to stay and visit while there, we would’ve stayed, but she was happy for us to go. Ready to start her independent journey. We’ll hear from her again someday!

I don’t hold out a lot of hope for the stimulator thing, so I hope the injection next week helps. I probably need to be more positive. That’s something I struggle with.

I’ve always wanted to swim with dolphins! Didn’t seem like a good idea when there were so many of them. Someday I really hope to get to at least pet one. That’s so cool you got to do that and your son swam with one. Where did you guys do that? I’ve heard Hawaii is one place.

Good for you telling off Gollum! That sucks you have a lot of noise going on when noise is a problem for you. One more thing to pile on top of stuff. Are they done with it now?

I saw someone smoking at the airport and wanting to go snatch it out of their hand, but that was easily resisted. I’ve done good since I got home. I know I’m going to have some rough moments with my daughter not here. I’m heartbroken and without her here I feel like I’ve lost part of my reason for quitting. Not super logical, but the feeling is there.

I think I’ll watch some tv and maybe cook a little bit to keep myself busy today.

OH! Today is my anniversary!! You must be at 7 months now?? Congrats!! I suddenly feel a bit better about getting through the next couple weeks

Hi Jenny,

When my son was 2 we fed and got to pet dolphins at Sea World.  When my son was 16 he went on a cruise with his Dad and they had a dolphin excursion in the ocean at one of the countries they ported at.  I couldn't go on the cruise but the pics of my son with the dolphins were awesome.  My son was so genuinely happy in the pics instead of being the grumpy teenager he often was back then.  I would of loved to Have seen all the dolphins together that  you saw from the boat.

Congrats on 8 months !!  Your daughter and son get to have a healthier Mom and for more years because you quit smoking.   That fact is important to acknowledge and remember.

Did you get your spinal shot yet?  I hated getting them in the past.  I could of used way more sedation than they gave me before the procedure .  It didn't feel like they gave me anything each time before  I had a spinal shot.  Maybe they got the real stuff and I just got plain saline in my IV or the dosage was for a pediatric patient. angry Also the spinal shots hurt awful when they were doing it.

I am off to try to get more sleep , the sleep gods were not kind to me last night.  I feel the rainy weather everywhere in my bones and muscles.

I have started making diamond art Halloween coasters recently .  They are fun to make and look good.

Lisa,

That’s so cool your son enjoyed swimming with the dolphins so much. I know what you mean about the genuine smile from a teenage boy who is often grumpy, lol.

I get the spinal injection on Monday and am really looking forward to it. I think I have amazing doctors or something. They put me under really good before the injection so I don’t even remember them doing the shot. They put the thing in my nose, tell me they’re injecting me with something in my IV, and the next thing I know I’m waking up in the recovery bed. They are pain specialists, so I guess they’re good at making sure I don’t hurt when they do it? I’m so sorry you’ve had such bad experiences with the injections! Do they do actual sedation with propofol? I think that’s what my doctors use. I’d be checking to see if they’re pocketing it if that’s what they’re supposed to be using and you’re still feeling stuff.

The rainy weather is so awful for so many people. I hope you get some better sleep. I think I’m just going to cut off half my body if this injection doesn’t work. Then I might sleep better. Ok, I’d just like it to be detachable, cause I’d like it back sometimes. Nerves are so weird, though. The doctors say that even if they cut away the nerves that hurts, it would just make the nerves hurt further up. Stupid nerves.

The diamond art sounds so cool. Halloween coasters will be fun to have! I can’t believe Halloween is next month. It’s my wedding anniversary, actually. It was a fun wedding!

Jenny
