Wow! What a powerful post! Funny I don't think I've seen any of Lesly's posts, even after being here almost 5 years. The other thing I noticed is we have the same quit day March 9th... mine is just 15 years later. These are great posts and oh so true. Everything she wrote (along with my daughter begging me to quit for how many years) was so a part of my life too. I remember being in an airport traveling with my daughter when she was about 7 and going into that horrible smoking room to suck a few down and making her stand on the other side of the glass so I could still see her. Like she was any more protected from 30 people smoking being 5 feet away on the other side of the (open) glass door. Arghhh... I could kick myself. Or how many times I smoked with her in the back seat of the car (just like Lesly wrote). Wow! It is a mean, horrible addiction that makes us do terrible things like that. It actually makes us Greedy...we choose cigarettes over our children's health. I am so happy I overcame this monster in my life.
