Been there, done that . I had a twelve-year quit, and then stupidly, I had one 3 jrs ago...been quitting ever since. I'm on day 1 again

I feel you Zezette. I really do. I quit 10 years ago with the help of using nicotine lozenges, and now for the past 10 years I have been using lozenges. Some days I have 6, some days 4, some days 12. I am feeling hopeless again. I wish I could be more positive. I smoked two cigarettes this year in June. Sometimes I still want to smoke... And then I just tell myself, use a lozenge. I am heavily addicted and need help. But usually I am a lot more positive lol. Today just happens to be a tough day. At least you have not quit on quitting. And if you were able to stay quit for 12 years, surely you can do that again! God bless your quit.

Hi Zezette, you have inspired me to give it another try, despite the brain fog, and feeling absolutely useless. Tomorrow.

Keep trying all. Terrible world of smoke. I still have relatives smoking and on the edge of having their bodies give up.
You all will make it.

Anthony... Are you still taking the nicotine medication? I pray this is the one for you, keep on keeping on!!

Yes I am, Jerthie, I had one cigarette last night, but did not enjoy it, have to keep on top of desire. Pray all things are well with you, watch out for your co-workers, do not be tempted.

Really - 12 years?
Did you think that just one would be ok and got trapped?
Sometimes I think one would be ok. So far managed to sidestep that cheap trick.
whew, I really feel for you. I hope you can get back too.

Yup, after 12 years, was camping, had a few drinks and grabbed a cigarette from my dh pack. I figured, oh I can have one and we'll, two years later here I again. I've been quitting ever since....

Heading into the evening, less to do and starting to relax, I just pray that I don't smoke, I have been free all day and don't feel as depressed as when I was feeling guilt and shame for busting my quit. So just hope my wife doesn't ask me to buy her a pack of smokes. I do most of the shopping, and this morning I was in the supermarket and walked right past the cigarette counter and thought I don't need them, I may want one, but I don't need cigarettes. How is very one else travelling, I went and watched my club football team win their way into the Grand final. It was an exciting match with the scores seesawing all through the game, That's my rant for the night.
Kind regards
Anthony
