Heading into the evening, less to do and starting to relax, I just pray that I don't smoke, I have been free all day and don't feel as depressed as when I was feeling guilt and shame for busting my quit. So just hope my wife doesn't ask me to buy her a pack of smokes. I do most of the shopping, and this morning I was in the supermarket and walked right past the cigarette counter and thought I don't need them, I may want one, but I don't need cigarettes. How is very one else travelling, I went and watched my club football team win their way into the Grand final. It was an exciting match with the scores seesawing all through the game, That's my rant for the night.
Kind regards
Anthony

Hi, Anne... That's all part of the trap, isn't it?...being fooled into thinking you can "just have one." That's what used to do me in and I was so irritated with myself that I slipped. Tuesday will be marking my 7 weeks of "choosing not to light up" so my sister says, her quit will be 2 years December 30 upcoming. As like before, I lost tract of time so I'm feeling pretty good pushing the 2 month mark. The less I make of this, the better because it's all part of the process. Success is there, you just have to do it. Hope all's well in your world.

7 weeks quit... That is wonderful Karen! I am so happy for you. Keep up the great work you are doing so well I'm jealous lol I can't seem to make a clean break from these lozenges. Today I have already had 12 yikes! I am really thinking I will just finish this pack I have sitting at home without being conscious of how many I use, and then maybe break free! Will keep you all updated.

Please don't get suckered into the "just one" farce!! Break those chains that keep you addicted! N.o.p.e forever is the rule once you focus on the quit. Best wishes...you can achieve being a non smoker!

Enjoy your Smokefree evening.. I'm off tomorrow on a two week camping vacation....yikes, 7 days smoke free...

Sometimes I think that continuous on/off process makes it harder and harder to be successful at permanently quitting....? Ignoring the n.o.p.e. rule makes you smoke again...period. Just decide you're done and do it.....7 weeks for me this Tuesday. Don't count the days, never thought that was useful, can make you more anxious actually. Stay determined and mad you let this happen to you. Best wishes.

Well done Zezette, Hope you enjoy your camping trip, we are heading off on a road trip on Sunday, across the country. So we will be sleeping in a different town each night, I am looking forward to it. The quitting for me is proving quite a challenge.

Do it!!! Ditch those lozenges, they are only preventing you from making a clean break from your dependance on nicotine...which is totally what all the nicotine replacement stuff does (lozenges, patches, incremental pills, etc). Anything with any amount of nicotine in it will continue to sabotage your attempts to break free of this insane, unhealthy addiction. That's why for me, with this quit time, I've bern so angry to have ever thought that having "just one" wouldn't effect me...ha!! Not going to go down that path anymore. So, you know what you need to do in order to quit.....make the break

Thank you Karen. I will see if I can do it, and keep you all posted. Have a nice night all.
